Gift for school bus driver - cash or gas gift card?

I want to give a gift to my kids' bus drivers.

I think maybe a Starbuck's gift card or other coffee place would be better then cash or a gas gift card. I know someone who drives a bus, but doesn't own a car.

I've never heard of giving anything to bus drivers. My kids used to like to hand a candy cane usually decorated with some reindeer antlers they made but that's about it. Lol

Cash or the same kind of gift card you give the teachers at school. At our school, the bus drivers are the teacher's aides, so I think the same way I do for them.

Cash always trumps a gift card. Cash is accepted everywhere - and you don't have to spend your own money just to get the full value of the gift card.

I like to give a small giftcard to a place like Wawa or Sheetz. It can be used toward gas or lunch/coffee. If doing it on my own, I usually give $10 (for one child), but some years all the families that had children at the same bus stop pooled our money and we gave $5-10 per family.

Why is that to much? bus drivers have a thankless job.
