Gift for mom....spa service?

My mom has helped us this time around with the cost of the cruise. We wanted to give her a special experience to say thank you. Does anyone know how hard it is to reserve a massage on CC and if so, what the cost is? How does that compare with the cost of a massage on board? I couldn't find the spa prices without searching for each individual thing so if anyone can tell me where this is located and what experiences I could book before we board, that would be awesome. TIA!

FWIW: I have read the massage on CC vs the ship isn't great, since there isn't a sink for the massage therapist to clean her hands, and the oils mixed with the sandy beach, etc. but I have no personal experience with this!

Another thing to think about is maybe you could get her a rainforest room day pass? We tried it ($16 for the day) and enjoyed it. Multiple showers of different experiences, saunas, heated tile loungers and 2 hot tubs. We found it to be relaxing and it didn't break the bank! I know they sell multiple day passes, too. It was available before we cruised, and we bought it then. When we got to our room there was a card with the passes waiting on us. You don't need to pick the day in advance and I read somewhere that these usually sell out.

I've done massages in the spa and on CC. I can't recommend the massage on CC. It was in a cabana-type building on Serenity Bay and there is nowhere to wash up afterward (I like to take a shower after a massage). I could also hear people outside the whole time.

That's a good idea too! She has tried the Rainforest room one time and did enjoy it. If I can't book a spa treatment, maybe I'll give her a revisit of the rainforest room. I know she loved the loungers!!!

In response to how hard is it to book one availability wise, it will vary depending upon the time of year and the people on the cruise. This last cruise I was on, 4/29, every time we went to senses or got near it they were offering different specials for cabana massages so I'm guessing they were having a hard time finding takers.

Unless the cruise is super packed and a lot of people have pre-booked, you're better off booking Senses services onboard when they start offering all sorts of crazy specials.

Yes, be sure the check Embarkation Day because a lot of the time they run specials to try to fill up spots! Have fun!
