We are going to be in Disneyland, staying at the Grand Californian, for our 12th anniversary... ( which is October 12! But we will be checking in Oct 13 with ABD) I want to surprise my hubby with a room delivery. I have looked through the options on the Disney florist site and did not see anything that would work. either food my hubby would not like, too expensive or too childlike. Any suggestions? Any local companies who will deliver to the hotel? no flowers.

Does the hotel do pre arranged room service deliveries? My hubby loves good cookies and milk, or chocolate covered strawberries...would the hotel have options like this? I want to surprise him and he is hard to catch off guard. If I start making odd phone calls or acting mysterious, the gig is up...lol....so I need to plan this before we leave on Oct 10.

Help! We have a tradition of surprising each other with fun, romantic gestures during our anniversary trips. sometimes a game,or hunt is involbed or riddles; it is not about money spent, more about thoughtful, detailed gifts. According to our friends, I am the queen of this, and my hubby is the king! He is completely amazing at surprising me with fun things to do, thoughtful gifts, momentos and experiences! apparently I am more oblivious, it is easy for him to surprise me!

I have other things planned, I just want to do some sort of fun in-room - maybe food based - surprise. (Not a cake.) no rice crispy treats or such. The man is basic. Chocolate chip cookies and milk, chocolate covered fruit, etc. no alcohol. if there is any outside company that has a website or suggestions, that would be wonderful!

Try Mouseshoppe. Mouseshoppe will make cutom gift baskets and deliver them to your hotel. That way you could choose whatever gifts you would like to give your DH. Happy Anniversary!

Pretty sure you can contact either vacation planning or the hotel concierge/front desk and place an order to have waiting in the room. I've heard they will do cookies or chocolate covered strawberries for a very reasonable price.

Just call GCH Directly and ask for Room Service 2-3 days before your arrival. They'll take your cc over the phone and bill you the day the order arrives.

They offer in-room delivery of Mickey cookies, mickey Rice Krispie treats and chocolate covered strawberries for about $5 each piece. We like to add the milk that they chill in a carafe for you too. You can have it waiting in the room and they'll put a card saying whatever you want ("Happy Anniversary") and some pins with the celebration on them. You can also have wine/champagne.

I do this for my DD almost every trip. Just pick a time you want them delivered - be aware they willl NOT deliver to a room with a Do not Disturb sign on it so just keep that in mind if you have it ordered on a day you are in the parks. So I usually have ours delivered say 4pm (since check in is at 3pm, even if you get an early check in they can't guarantee that) and make sure we are out of the room in DTD or at the pool and when we return - VOILA!! There's a cart with treats waiting! It's really reasonably priced and they don't advertise it - I stumbled upon it a few years ago when I accidentally ordered it. Enjoy!
