Gift cards

I know this has probably been explained before, but would someone be able to break down for me buying multiple Disney gift cards and combining them? I know you can combine them up to 5 gift cards up to $1000 each. Do you pick the cards to add to? Or are you mailed new cards? We have 7 in our family this year and looking at buying APs - whew! I'd be doing a combination of Kroger and Target. Thanks!

You do it all online. You will pick a card to transfer the balance to. Go to https://www.disneygiftcard.com/ and select manage cards to do this. You can have a maximum of $1000 on a single card. They've made it pretty easy to do.

Also, does anyone have experience with Kroger fuel? I've never bought gift cards from them, just used whatever points from groceries. It gives the bigger discount right now - my van takes 28 gallons, but even at 25 gallons, I will save more than with Target. But it looks like I am limited to $1 off per fill up. And have to use it by the end of Sept if I do this all now. We'll be driving said van from Virginia down 95 mostly. Are there any Kroger fuel centers on the way?

Always take an extra blank gift card or two just in case the card you are using gets damaged.

If you purchase online you can only use one gift card per transaction, so you will likely have to purchase each AP separately. I had to do this when I bought 2 in December. Not that big a deal though. Not sure if the same limitation is in place for ordering by phone.

Krogers with fuel centers are fairly common in GA (just use Google maps to find them), but once you hit FL there are no Krogers (or very, very few). I just did a quick Google search, and coming down 95, it looks like the last Kroger before FL (that is convenient to 95) is south of Savannah in Richmond Hill.
