I wonder if the nonDisney owned restaurants at DTD are going to start taking them now that they are on the DDP. I know the House of Blues would not accept them last month. I had to use my cc. Of course I've used them at Yak & Yeti and Big River Grill and they are not Disney owned.
Also the restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin don't accept them (of course they are not on the DDP, nor are they Disney owned).
I go to WDw several times a year and pretty much do just about all TS for meals. I always use Disney gift cards to pay for my meals or just the gratuities if I'm on the DDP. I always add a little extra to each card, just in case I find any souvineers I can't do without (don't find much anymore though), so always bring some home for the next trip. I love having everything prepaid, coming home to a zero balance on my credit card, and having some money left over each trip. lol
If you are staying at a Disney owned and operated Resort, on check-in you may make a cash or Gift Card deposit to your account and then use your room key to make charges against this deposit.
