Gift Cards for Trials

I am curious if anyone has been able to obtain a $ gift card incentive if they cancel membership at the end of the trail?
They always read something like " Receive a $25 Visa card for free 7 day trial". But after you sign up and click on the link to start the gift card process it states that you have to be a member when the gift card paperwork is processed. 2-4 weeks to mail paperwork to you and then 4-6 weeks to process that paperwork.

I've never gotten the gift cards from the programs with 7 day trials because I always cancel after 5 days to make sure I don't get charged.

Those that have a 1 month trial, however, I've done very well with. I can't remember the names off the top of my head, but they send you an email within a few days of signing up & you claim your gift card online. Then you have about 3 1/2 weeks until your trial is up to receive your cards. I always cancel the day I get my cards.

I've gotten $20 in Circuit City Cards, a $10 Lowes Gift Card & a $20 Lowes Gift Card. I have a $20 Linens-N-Things Gift Card on the way & a $10 Barnes & Noble through this same type of sign up. I've also mailed off for a $25 Wal-Mart Gift Card, but I'm not sure how this one will work since it was through the mail.

I have never gotten the promised card. I have done a few 30 day trials, and I wait till about 2 days remaining to cancel, but I never get the "packet" in the mail that includes the giftcard.

Did you fill out the online forms (a link for them comes in an email) to request the gift card? For the 30 day trials I've done the gift cards have come seperately from the "welcome packet." They were in mostly plain white envelopes--almost threw one of them out. I try to request them as soon as I get the email & they arrived with a week or so left before I needed to cancel.

Yesterday after posting this I got a $10 Lowe's card in the mail!

Guess I'll stick with the 30 day trials!
