Gift cards for tickets

Can you use multiple gift cards (like the $50 ones from Target) to purchase tickets only? I have a room only reservation and want to order tickets, but I need to pay with about 13 gift cards. Can you enter that many on checkout?

I've bought tickets online before and you can only use one gift card and the balance has to be charged to a credit or debit card. I was told the only way to use multiple gift cards is to call Ticketing and read off the gift card numbers to the CM.

The other option is to use your credit cards for your tickets and then apply all the gift cards to your room balance once you arrive at your resort.

You could enter the gift cards into a Disney Vacation Account and pay that way. You use your account number just like a single gift card.
I did this on our last visit in August/Sept.

Yes, you can! I just used 26 cards to buy my tickets 2 days ago. The number you need to call is 407-566-4985. They are open 8:30-7:30 EST. It took my 30 minutes, including 7 minutes on hold, and a chunk of time trying to link the tickets in MDE. Check your card numbers... If the first 8 digits are the same, let the cm know to cut and paste. It saves time!

Thanks this just worked for me! The only thing I have to add is pick option #5 right away or you end up getting transfered to someone outside of ticketing.

I've been reading quite a few posts about using Disney gift cards to purchase tickets, pay for rooms, etc. Could one of you please tell me the reason for buying gift cards to do that, instead of just charging the amount to a credit card? Thanks.

Some people buy gift cards at Target and receive an automatic 5% discount on each card when the purchase is made using their Target credit or debit card.

Others receive purchase discounts or credit towards gas purchases at other stores. It's a way to save a little money before arriving on vacation.

OP: I used about 100 $50 gift cards to pay off our vacation last June, but that was a package reservation. I'd be interested to hear back from you to find out if you were able to do it for tickets only online, without having to call in. We just bought in to DVC and my package buying days are over! I will only be purchasing tickets from now on! Thanks!

No, not necessarily. The regular DVC number will allow you to use two but if you call ticketing directly you can use as many as you want. I know because I did this yesterday. The CM was wonderful, helpful and quick!
