Gift cards for disneyland

Our family is going to DL in october of 09.... So i've decied to save my money (plus the kids dont need toys) i'm gonna buy the 2 boys gift cards for there b-days and x-mas, with a little stuffy or something. The question i have is does anyone know if the gift cards from disneyland.com have an expiry date? I want to buy them now but don't want to get there and them be expired..... Just want to make sure before i buy $400 in gift cards.

They don't expire.

You can actually take an empty one back in and get it reloaded, too. I've done that in prep for Food and Wine in WDW.

Great!!! i'm gonna buy 4-5 once the site is back up... i'll buy them all now to save on shipping!! just have to decied waht design i want!! i know i'm gonna get 2 halloween ones cause we ill be tehre durning halloween

When you get the giftcards, copy down the number on the back, and put it somewhere safe with the receipt I assume you'll get. That way, since it's so long before they'll be used, if a card is lost you can still be helped.

Also remember that you can get them AT the parks. So you don't *really* have to get them now. You could get a special savings account for the money you would put on them, and perhaps make up a certificate. Or buy them $5 giftcards so they have the cards in hand, and keep the rest of the money in an account, earning interest for the year. When you get to the parks you can add on, or you can just buy extra giftcards with the rest of the money on them.

Also, know that you can use them at disneyshopping.com, so if there's money left over they can use them on things even after they get home!
