gift cards and vendor carts

Since I am doing a trip sans the dining plan, I was wondering if I purchase a couple of gift cards to hand the teens in the group to use for snacks and such, would they be able to use the gc in getting a Mickey bar or a bottle coke from the vendor carts that are set up around the parks?

Yes, most of the outdoor kiosks can accept gift cards. Pretty much any vendor that accept DDP credits can accept gift cards as a form of payment (you can get a sense of which locations accept DDP credits in this 2014 confirmed DDP snack list and then use that to get a sense of which kiosks accept gift cards).
