Gift Card warning.

If you signed a new contract and were to get a 500.00 gift card.. Make sure you call your guide if you don't recieve. We closed May 28th and still don't have ours. I called are guide and she is puting in a request to get it to us. She asked why we didn't call sooner. I told her I thought it was to take 8 weeks she said no. She said around 4 weeks.

I think the changeover to the new prepaid visa card is causing a delay. Our first gift card was a disney one and it arrived within 3 weeks but our second one was a prepaid visa and it took about 7 weeks.

Personally i prefer the Disney Gift Card. I know you can only buy stuff at disney with it but isn't that the point, the money goes back to Disney and everytime you buy something the receipt shows how much you have left.

We purchased DVC in Nov 07 and 500 disney dollars were deposited in our Disney Visa account in February- we did not get an actual card. The disney $$ were just added to our D$ that we had already earned- which we will redeem into a card before our next WDW trip.

Thanks for alerting me. I will have to check the status of ours. They didn't roll 80 dollars into our closing costs and it took a long time to get things tidied away, so it may be delayed for that reason. We need to make sure we get it and credit it to our payments!

Kelly, We closed within a week of when you did and we just got our $500 card last week followed by the PIN number on Saturday. So it did take about 7-8 weeks. Of course it took me 7-8 minutes to spend it towards APs.
