Gift card question

I called yesterday, and the CM said she added the $500 gift card to our package. However, when I was on the Disney site today checking on how much we still owe, I noticed the reservation doesn't mention the gift card. Is this normal? I also didn't get any email yesterday showing it was added. Should I have gotten something? Should I call to see what is going on? Or is this normal? Thanks for helping my paranoia.

I got an email about one hour later with a link to click on. It listed my package in detail. On one of the items it mentioned a gift card available at check in.

You can't stack offers. Find the one that saves you the most

After comparing my email from my most recent payment with the email received today (it came almost 24 hours after I called) I noticed the code was different, so I called and they confirmed that the new code is for the gift card.

Are there blackout dates in December for the gift card offer?

We are going Dec 4th-11th staying at the Poly. Free dining is blacked out for those dates. Just wondering if the gift card offer was blacked out too?

no room discount or FD according to web site. If you call you may get better results

We're booked at CSR for the same dates, and were bummed about the dining. We called today and got the gift card

My mom and I booked at POR:FQ for 1/3 to 1/10. We do not have FD. (The marathon is right in the middle of our trip and there's a blackout.) Since we don't qualify for FD, can I call Disney tomorrow and switch to a room to qualify for the GC?

To qualify for free dining, you only need to check in on a date that qualifies for free dining. The free dining carries through for the rest of your stay, even if it falls during a blackout period. So as long as you check in before 01/05, you'll qualify for free dining. Just call reservations, and as long as there's still availablity at the resort for those dates, they can apply the dining or giftcard code to your reservation.
