Gift Baskets

Does anyone know how I order a gift basket to be waiting in our room when we get there. I have read that people do this but I am not sure if you call the resort directly or if you order them from somewhere else or how that works. I am talking like the First Visit Basket or something along those lines.

Unfortunately, you cannot have anything waiting in your room. The only exception I've seen to this policy are those guests staying in a club level room. Technically, until you physically check-in and receive your room key, even if you're room is pre-assigned, it could be changed at any point prior to your arrival.

For gift delivery, you can use the Disney Florist and I know that Feralpeg, aka Peggy is doing baskets again. Both will deliver to the resorts front desk. After that, if the resort has a runner available, they'll deliver to your room after check-in. If they don't have a runner available, they can either give it to you when you show up at the front desk, or they'll leave a message on your room phone to stop by and pick up your basket.

I had Betsy from Memories by Betsy create 3 giftbaskets for my kids first visit this September. They're all done and she sent me a pic which is is in this link:

She will also put a card from Mickey on the outside along w/a First visit button before she delivers them.

As far as being in the room when you get there I've heard different stories so I'm not sure. Just ask when you check in if its in your room yet if it isn't maybe you can get it to your room yourself for the surprise. Good luck!

I had betsy do 2 of them when we went 2 weeks ago...

I mentioned on check in about the baskets.. they said they would have someone deliver them to our room. While we were at dinner they were delivered.

Betsy is also doing a basket for my DD on our upcoming trip in November! (Sarah had made me one for our trip in July and DD loved it!!) I went with a High School Musical theme and Betsy went over and beyond in making a WONDERFUL basket that I know my daughter will love!!! We'll be checking in rather late, so I'll ask for the basket at checkin so she can have it right away!

We're heading out to Chef Mickey's for dinner shortly after getting to the Poly & the baskets have their autograph books in them so I'll have to definitely get them to the kids before we go. Hopefully it will go smoothly!

Betsy is ALSO doing 2 baskets for me the 3rd week of October! They will be waiting for you at check in and you need to ask about them, because they do not just get delivered to the room and are waiting for you upon arrival. You will be able to ask them to deliver right then to the room or by a certain time! I can't wait for my kids to see the gift baskets! The pics Betsy sent me look so adorable! Her website is:

I have forgotten what types of discounts the Disney World Florist give. Does anyone have an idea? There use to be a Disney isa discount and I beleive that AAA has one. Correct me .

I don't know of any discount. and just order from them.

now dvc has a discount but only on the dvc products.

they are a FTD florist - so maybe that has a discount?

I bekleive that FTD gives AAA discount. Anyway I sent an a-mail and if anyone wants to know I can reply here.
