Gi? karate uniform?

need it sort of fast, does anyone know where / which large stores carry karate for kids uniform?

I"m not in South FL, but DS's was given to him by his dojang. I've never seen them outside of the dojang here, except for costumes at Halloween time.

I've never seen gi in sporting goods stores, but we do get a lot of our sparring gear online. Try companies like karatedepot.com or martialartsmart.com -I've used several sites and always paid less than what we pay throught the academy directly. You'll probably have to pay for expedited shipping if you really need it rushed. Like jeans shopping however, it seems like no two companies ever cut the sizes the same way and there are many different weights (thickness) of the material used. It can make your head spin! Check places like used sporting goods stores. I have found tons of equipment in them for my son and myself in Martial Arts.

Be sure that you check with your school first to be sure what the guild-lines are, ours are pretty strict. We get a lot of things from older kids that have gone through the program and we have passed stuff on down. Sparing stuff looks brand new!

Check with your dojo, they may want them all to be the same and may even be cheaper there.

dojo does not care. if they did, i'd just go with that.

There's a store just north of Melbourne. I know it's not South FL but it's the only one I've ever seen that wasn't directly from the school. Most everybody up here in North FL gets them online.
