Ghost Whisperer Premiere

IMZADI you are a genius!

This will also bring Jim and Melinda closer- he will get to see what SHE sees and hears and deals with! It would be cool if for a few episodes, he is inside HER world and he can help her use her "gift".

So glad I found this... I've been upset since Friday night! IMZADI- I also like your thinking. I hope it's true!

It has to be. I am VERY excited that she is probably right! I will be thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love Love Love Ghost Whisper, but if Jim is dead I will quit watching it. He was a HUGE part of the show and without him or him as a ghost it will be over soon..I emailed CBS about my unhappiness, hey it probably won't help but you never know.

OK so I finally watched Friday's episode but I had a feeling I knew where it was going.

As soon as it was over I was like Jim is in a coma. That's the only thing that can explain it all, especially if David is not leaving the show.

If he does leave then add me to the list of Non watchers. I will be tuning in next week the find out more.

Isn't it strange that they live in what seems like a small town, she owns the store in the center of the town, she's been helping people there for years and yet no one knows her or what she does. Doesn't anyone in that town talk to each other?

I'd hate to wish Jay Mohr's new show bad luck but his character in Ghost Whisperer is so much better than the new guy's. They really seem to leave it open for him to come back.

I have just seen the episode all I can say is :scared1:  roll on the next few I hope he doesn't stay dead. Please make him come back to life and just be in a coma for a while.

ITA Too bad he can't do both. I don't think the new one is going to make it. IMHO

Okay, now I'm thinking (hoping) there is another possibility we haven't thought of. :scratchin

At the end of the episode, we see the doctors & nurses rush in. But the episode ends before they call time of death. I've never heard of someone being able to make it after an embolism, ( my limited experience coming from watching medical dramas. ) What if he's simply hanging around (the whole show) in that near-death coma state?

You know, that place where people who have died & come back have said they hovered over their body and saw the crash team was working on them. Instead, Jim goes to Melinda, since he knows she can see him.

I remember something Jim said last season. They were talking about a "Do Not Resuscitate" order, and whether they would want to hang around in a coma, even if there was practically no chance of coming out of it. Jim said, if Melinda had already died before him, then to pull the plug on him. But if she was still alive, and there was even a slightest chance he could come back to be with her again, he'd stay forever.

We saw the previews where Melinda tells Jim to go on. But Jim wants to stay. Maybe it was just her saying he doesn't have to hang on in the vegetative coma, he should move on? :scratchin

Maybe their "journey" is how their love for each other somehow makes a miracle happen, and Jim miraculously comes out of the coma, the doctors said he never would come out of, showing in the end, "Love conquers all."

Man, I hope it's something like that, instead. :(
I'm hoping you are right.
It does make sense.
Whether someone lives or dies after an embolism depends on where the embolus is, how big it is, how much bloodflow it is blocking and for how long. Here's more info about embolisms.

Yes, as many people as she has 'helped over', you would think someone would have talked to someone else. My MIL lives in a small town and the whole town practically knows everyone's business.

I just saw the show cause I had it recorded on my tv, and that really bites!! How could they do this. I loved Melinda and Jims relationship. What I'm thinking is the same thing as Imzadi. My mom was telling me that David Conrad was kinda getting bored with his character being so goody goody all the time. Maybe this is their way of spicing up his character. I'll just wait to see what happens before I decide what to do. A little curious. Hope he does come back though.

I hope your theory proves correct! If Jim sticks around as a ghost, the whole dynamic would be different. The lovestory between them would HAVE to end. I just don't think it would work. The coma idea sounds very interesting..... please please!!!

Oh I will be so....................................disappointed if this doesn't pan out and he dies or is a ghost. I really will be upset. I keep trying to find more spoilers to no avail!

But if he's in a coma, why would Miranda say to Jim (in the previews for tomorrow's show) that he must cross over?? If he were in a coma she'd say you need to fight to get better or you need to go back into your body now! :confused3

I'm afraid he is gone. :( I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst.

Me too!! I saw that. Well, two things. One, maybe the doctors told her it was hopeless or maybe she is having a nightmare!

Ohhh Wow I hope so, I have been so upset. I know it sounds silly but I really really enjoy my friday evenings watching Ghost Whisper and I love Jim and Melinda as a couple. He is the stone for her and I hope and pray it ends with it being a dream.

I thought I had read in a preview for the show that they were having a memorial for Jim. I don't think they'd do that if he were just in a coma :confused3

I hope it's a dream. I love Jim and Melinda's relationshp. She needs to have SOMETHING to hold on to after dealing with all the death. I will be sooo pissed if he's dead. I doubt they'd make him die. If he does they'll be "jumping the shark" and won't be back for another season.
