Ghost stories

With Halloween right around the corner I'd like to ask if anyone has ever had an encounter with the supernatural or know of someone who has.


I've haven't had one...yet.

I've had a couple things happen. The one that really sticks out is about 10 years ago we were over my grandparents 200 year old house for Thanksgiving. We had one table set up for everybody to eat at and seperate table against the wall to put all the food on. Now my grandparents and aunts and uncles had always said the house was haunted but we never belived it. Until that thanksgiving 10 years ago. We were all in the room sitting around the table finishing up our meals and talking and nobody was even close to the food table. Then suddenly the bowl of peas was picked up and flipped over. We all heard it and saw the bowl flipped over and body near the table and peas all over the floor. Ever since then I belive in ghosts.

I have several from a house that I just moved from. A few of you might remember me posting about these events in the past year or so.

First and most scary-In April/May of this year I had a fight with my boyfriend and CHOOSE to sleep on the couch (he would have if I asked him to). I'm facing into the couch cushions, with my back towards the living room. About an hour and a half later I feel a strong tap on my shoulder, enough to wake me up. Only problem is boyfriend was snoring away in the next room.

Everyone, including sitters have seen a "little child" run up the stairs, hid in the corner and call out to us. I refused to go into the basement when home alone due to the numerous times I've heard footsteps above me when no one was home. I actually ran from the house and called the police the first time lol.

Also, although not in the above house, I have a photo I took at a burned out hotel in New Hampshire about 8 years ago. I didn't notice while taking it, but after developing the camera you can see a ghostly woman in a window. I'm still un-packing the new house but will find it and see if I can get someone to help me scan it in.
