I was thinking the very same thing this morning. I don't think y'all would want me with ya though - I'd be the first one running out of the building screaming.

well it was a digital camera, no 'film' per se, they were in the woods, really not a lot of sunlight or reflections of anything. The strange thing about is the photos taken just before this one & the ones right after it (the photographer changed nothing- was simply 'snapping' away) do not have this ______ whatever in it

Is that the whole pic or a cropped version? To really analyze it correctly we would need the whole pic in order to see anything that might lead to a "normal" explanation. Personally, I don't really belive in orbs themselves, but I have yet to see a photograph that can't be explained.

PADISFAM: I've been a paranormal investigator (among other oddities...LOL!) for several years now and tend to be super skeptical of "orb" pics, but this one has qualities that make me think you really have something!! Very cool!

it is 'cropped' we were trying to look at it closer. Let me check w/ the gals to see if they mind if I post the whole thing. (as it would be their faces on the internet). The original does look just as plain & clear.

I kind of agree. I think that orbs are at least almost always dust or bugs or something like that.

This one does look a bit unusual though.

Diva, from your professional experience as a paranormal investigator, why are we having so much activity (I haven't mentioned all of what we experience in our house) in a new house. Built 8 yrs ago and we're the only owners - we contracted to have it built. I thought stuff only happened in older homes, but there's some weird stuff going on.

clear, sunny day, no humidity, in the woods so no glares, nothing on the lense, several pictures were taken before & after this one (the photographer was just snapping away- she did not change locations or angles) and no 'orb' or white spot in anything else

I was just visiting the CB and this thread caught my eye. How strange that it is here. A few nights ago I saw something that I can't explain. I have been thinking about it ever since (like non-stop) and I am still a little freaked about it. I wasn't going to post it (it was such a personal experience it feels strange to share it with the world, plus I KNOW I saw something and I am afraid people will dismiss it, which would hurt because it was so important and life-changing for me), but it seems people are actually interested, so here I go...

A little about me. I have never seen any show like GH (actually, we don't have television, so I haven't seen any show that has been on in the past 4 years). I have never been particularly interested in ghosts or the paranormal. I don't know if I believe in them or not, but after what I saw, well...

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with what I saw, but our house was built in 1850 (renovated just before we bought it). We have lived here for 5 years and I have NEVER felt strange in the house or heard anything go bump in the night. Nothing.

This past Sunday night I woke from a deep sleep. I didn't hear a noise or anything. One second I was sleeping the next second I opened my eyes. When you are laying in our bed you are facing the door to the room. Standing between the foot of our bed and the door to the room was a man. A solid looking, bright white man just watching us sleep. I opened my eyes wider. He was about 5'7". He was smiling at me. It was a content smile, like he was pleased. Slowly he turned and walked out of the room. I watched the back of his head go down the hall until he disapeared out of view. I can still picture it vividly. It didn't look like my husband, but that is who I thought it was because who else would it be? I was going to call out "Scott, where are you going?", but then I noticed my husband was sound asleep next to me. Once I realized it wasn't my husband I thought someone broke into the house. I was listening for the sound of someone going down the stairs or the front door slam, but I never heard anything. My heart was pounding so hard in my chest. I reached over and woke my husband. I could barely talk, but I whispered "I think someone is in the house". Then I got angry that someone broke into the house so I jumped out of bed, turned on the hall lights to scare off the intruder. I ran downstairs and to the front door totally expecting it to be wide open but it was locked. My husband and I checked all of the doors and windows in the house, looked in closets, basement, etc. and didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

Needless to say I didn't get much sleep the rest of the night. The next night I baracaded the door to the room with our hamper. Silly, I know. But I figure if something or someone tried to open the door to watch me sleep I wanted to know about it. I have been getting a bit more sleep the last few nights, but every so often I look up from the bed to see if anyone (or thing) is in the room.

As I said, I really feel like my life has changed.

Any idea who it could have been, donald...really? Do you know the history of the house? Any pets in the house?

I don't blame you for being kind of spooked, but it sounds like he meant no harm.

ETA: if you have access to a TV, try watching medium Lisa Williams on Lifetime. She has a segment at the end of her show where she goes into haunted houses and interprets who's there and why. It might give you some reassurance.

donald...really, that sounds so much like the experience DH had. I don't know if you've read the post yet or not, but he thought it was me, yet thought it was strange that "I" walked down the hall/catwalk and didn't say anything about him still being downstairs. Needless to say when he saw me sleeping he too thought intruder and only after ruling that out did he think - ghost.

I feel for you, I think I would be scared senseless if I saw a ghost in human form. White mist - ok, ghost person - running for the hills .

don't tell him I shared his story. Everytime I've told it (which is not even that often), he just rolls his eyes and says something like, "I knew I shouldn't have told you about it".

Sometimes they're sensitive to this type of activity. (Kids are, too.)

Animals and Ghosts
