Ghost Hunters Thread & Personal Ghost Experiences & other Paranormal Talk.

Something is bugging me about Ghost Hunters Live.

If you haven't watched it yet and still plan to, you might want to skip this.

At around 4 hours and 40 minutes into the show, Grant gets the hood of his jacket pulled. It happens three times and you can actually see it happen each time (especially if you rewind it). It was freaky.

But after the third time, Jason checks out Grant's hood. He inspects it closely and then he pats Jason on the back when he's done.

My problem is that as soon as Jason pats his back, the hood yanks down again. It's very clear (I've rewound it several times). But this time they don't say anything about it. I'm pretty sure Jason could see it and Grant certainly should have felt it. But they act like it didn't happen.

It almost seems as if there is a mechanism making this happen.

I want to see the explanation on Wednesday's show, but as of right now, I'm pretty skeptical. This on top of the voice ("You're not supposed to be here") and how fake it sounded - I'm finding reason to doubt them for the first time. :sad2:

I love GH and I love Jason and Grant (and Steve and Tango), but something just doesn't seem right.....?

Thank goodness for Tivo!

Did anyone actually sit and watch all seven hours live? I can't imagine doing that.

99 percent of the show is watching the ghost hunters wander around.

I also thought the 'voice' sounded recorded. I did not see the Jason's hood incident.

At least on Most Haunted they keep things interesting. True, it is obviously fake, but it is fun to watch. I wish the Ghost Hunters could actually tag along with the Most Haunted crew: Grant and Jason would be constantly busting the MH people for fakery.

I don't like the live ones just because they keep bringing those other people in. I don't care what some wrestler has to say about things and they always distract from what might be going on.
I didn't watch most of it this time. I got annoyed and deleted it. I'll watch the reveal though

I didn't notice that, but I'd be so disappointed if they were faking things. I enjoy the show so much because they seem to do a great job separating fact from fiction.

I only caught about 45 minutes of the live show - nothing happened during that time. I looked up the incidents on the sci-fi channel blog and it seems there are a LOT of people saying that the voice was a recording and the hood pull was faked. :guilty: I hope that's not true . I looked for a link to video of the incidents but with no luck.

If anyone finds video on the web, would you please post a link here?

I'll be so disappointed if this was all a fake. I have noticed lately though, that whenever something happens, it always happens to Jay and Grant. And I have to admit, I really don't place much in that K-2 meter they've been using lately. Now, if they were able to get an EVP while using the K-2, I might feel differently.

DH and I have been talking about that K-2 meter too. I don't believe that thing either.

If all this 'faking' turns out to be true, I'm wondering if Sci-Fi is putting them up to it for ratings, just like they forced them to take on Chris and added music to investigations. :confused3

I think the K-2 meter is too good to be true also. I mean, it seems to me that they would figure that this could easily be faked and not use it. And it seems that wherever they use it, they get a response. Not really reliable.

I have thought the same, its always happening to Jay & Grant......man that would sooooo suck if it came out those things were faked:headache:

and I did tune in for the entire show (sad I know) but hubby was out of town on business and my son was at grandmas so I was home alone doing some baking and watching GH live.

It was alright, but I also know thats how it works....like hurry up and wait...ghost dont come out from 8-9 just cause your on TV!:happytv: knew that going in and didnt figure it would be nail biting from start to finish, but some of it made me wonder as well:confused3

but the wrestler thing, drives me nuts....and my son is a big wrestling fan so its not just cause the guy is wrestler, that in itself dosent bother me, its just because he could have cared less. That made him iritating. The lady however seemed into it and the british guy was funny and seemed into it as well.:)

I also heard them off camera saying to Kristen to ask the miz(wrestler guy) about wrestling and so on, small talk is fine but it was akward st best.

So I guess I will wait til wed and see what results they have and go from there,popcorn:: I am so hoping something happened off camera that cant be explained!

Here's a link to a video of the whole thing. I also just noticed by watching this that Grant has his right hand inside his jacket pocket every time it happens.

I'm not feeling well.

Check out Grant's collar at around 3:57. Just after Jason pats him on the back...

I noticed that too! I chuckled a bit when during that time they heard a bang but didn't go investigate it. Then you hear Jay and Grant saying something about wrestling and ghost hunting because they must have overheard the questions Krystin was asking. Jay looked a little ticked that they hadn't gone to investigate the bang and Krystin seemed like she wasn't sure what she should do. Ask the guy more questions or go find out where the noise came from?

Awesome tugging on the coat! They even caught it on the thermal. You're right about Grant's hand being in his pocket. HHHHMMMMMM...;)

The live shows seem to be turning into a big commercial for other show.It got annoying because this year it seemed more so than others. I was also getting mad about the cameras..lots of interference with the cameras they were carrying.

The whole jacket thing?:confused3 I'm not sure what to think. It looked to me like his hand was in his pants pocket but I need to watch it a few more times to be sure. I actually didn't notice the jacket being tugged during the broadcast, guess I should have had my glasses on.

Same here. It was really distracting.

I hate to think that the jacket tugging and the disembodied voice were hoaxes. I've never doubted the honesty of the show before, but I'm not at all sure in this case. The voice sounded completely like a recording and Grant's hand was hovering kind of unnaturally near his right side every time the jacket moved. It's hard not to be skeptical.

I have to agree with you Nancy. I had never seen a live show before but I was expecting it to be 7 hours of Ghost Hunting not listening to that wrestler talk about his show the whole time. Is that guy for real or was he just using his personna? I would have preferd he left the personna in the ring. I would have really liked the guy from Destination Truth to have been "hunting" with them instead.

He was very annoying! The others in past years were more down to earth and not all into themselves.

I also did not like Rob from GHI being there..I don't like him on that show and I didn't like him on this one at all.

It is obvious that he is pulling with the hand that he won't raise you can see like a little spot in the middle of his collar that is being tugged inward. Jason is also obviously fixing the exact spot that is being pulled.

Unless they come out and say Sci Fi put them up to it, or else confess to pulling a dumb prank, they are no longer credible in my book.

I just reviewed the tape again. 31 seconds in you can see him pulling his own collar with something on his right side. :sad2:

:sad2: I see what you all are talking about now. His hand is definitely in his pocket. We'll see what they say on Wednesday.
