What did it replace at Disney's California Adventure?

thanks.

Free chocolate beats free tortillas any day! Does anyone know, when you buy merchandise at Ghirardelli (bag of chocolates) what is the discount given for annual passholders? I called guest services and they didn't know.

Whatever dining discount you would typically get. 10% for all but premium; 15% for premium. They don't take Disney gift cards though.

P.S. We ate the rocky road sundae on Saturday :)

Wasn't sure if they gave the food discount or the merchandise discount.
They DO take Ghirardeli gift cards, which you can purchase at Costco for 20% discount.:thumbsup2

Well, well, well, looks like a trip to Costco is in my future!

Do they grant the 10% discount for DVC members? It's supposed to be on merchandise and not food. But chocolate gift boxes? Are they food or merchandise?

This is a pure guess based on other things at the Resort, but I am going to say that a chocolate gift box is merchandise. Just a guess, though.

Merchandise on the pre-packed bags and bars, food on the sundae that we bought. DD16 and I shared a sundae for breakfast on our last day of her birthday trip. lol I think I'm recalling that correctly but it was a few months ago so I'm not 100% sure and I didn't keep my receipt at all.

I disagree so very very much....

The ice cream place serves cheap Dreyers ice cream (which has ingredients that cannot be eaten by my family...not ANY flavor...yep, I had them check for me) and charges the earth for it. It's such a bummer.

We buy Mission tortillas at home, but there is something lost in the mass production and shipping process; they were SO much better at the factory. Especially the corn tortillas; we won't touch the Mission corn tortillas at home, they just taste like plastic once they get up here, but freshly made? OH so good.

I miss maseca. :(

i really miss the tortillas as well. they should have replaced the bakery tour instead! LOL (yes I know they need it for the cafe).

Hmm. I haven't seen these in my northern California CostCo. Are these just available in southern California CostCos perhaps? Anyone in the Vacaville or Sacramento areas happen across discounted Ghirardelli gift cards in CostCo recently?

Not sure about the stores, but they do sell them on Costco.com.
