Has anyone done this?? I have stayed here before but for 2 wks :woohoo::woohoo: Cannot decide if a one night/one day would be worth it??? It would be the last day/night of our vacation and also it would be our anniversary....

Any thoughts

Thanks

Jeanette (Netty) booked GF for 1 night for her relative (gaylie) on a recent visit. If I remember rightly it was for their anniversary. Maybe PM Jeanette?

I doubt we would do it for 1 night but I don't like GF, if you offered me savanna view at AKL I would be more tempted. :goodvibes

Cheers Wayne:goodvibes Different strokes for different folks:rotfl::rotfl: I would quite happily vacation here for 2 wks but as i will be spending Christmas 2010 at "The Grand" I don't want to do 2 wks then be popping back for Christmas 2010 kinda takes the "Uniqueness" away from Christmas 2010:) If that makes sense:confused3 So i came up with the idea of a "One Nighter" :lmao: :lmao: Better than nothing i guess & still makes the anniversary special:laughing:

:goodvibes

We were looking at a 3 night stay at the GF as part of our holiday next year, but will look at other options as we just cannot justify the cost.
Essentially only slightly less than the other 13 nights in an off-site villa.

If you are happy to pay the price then go for it, we all have different preferences, as an example I respect Wayne's views totally but I don't fancy AKL at all, in Africa perhaps but not Florida.
In short what some would pay others wouldn't. :goodvibes

I would be wary for one night about getting value for money, dependant I suppose on what time you are able to check in.

I wouldn't do it for one night (and we could have it free!) as you couldn't get in until 3 and would have to be out by 11. We are doing it for 3 nights, as at $900/night we can't justify any longer when 3 nights in a 1 bed in BLT would cost us the same as one night there!

But I can't imagine waking up anywhere else on my wedding day, and I don't want to be in an outer lodge. Also I don't want to have to change hotel rooms on the wedding day, and we don't want to have to be up early and checking out the morning after the wedding.

I wouldn't do it for one night, just not worth it, two nights would cost double, but you'd get more than double the benefits IMHO.

Each to their own though, we looove AKL so we're staying there again too. Even though there are loads of other Deluxe resorts to try!

Thanks all for your opinions,Still undecided what to do but for $476 i don't think i can pass it up:) & Outer Lodge wouldnt appeal to me either

:goodvibes

$476?!?!

Nor would I!!

How are you getting that?

Just booked a 4 night stay at "The Grand" RPC with the 40% discount:woohoo::woohoo:

Thanks for all the responses:)

Goood choice, try and imagine on your first day how crappy it'd have been to check out after breakfast!

And me, the GF seems too stuffy for me !! Like Johnny said Different strokes for different folks.

Having spent time here ranging from 3 weeks to 3 nights I would say it's not worth it for 1 night. Could you maybe get an annual pass and get and AP rate, then stay 2 nights?

AKL is a fab hotel, especially Savannah view, may be you could get 2 nights here for the price of one night in the GF
