We are visiting in August and are staying at WL. My DD is 10 on the day we check in and I want to give her a nice meal with the Cinderella Slipper desert which you can only order from the GF bakery if dining at GF restaurants.

Which Restaurant would you suggest.

I replied to you in your other thread also I believe. You can also order it for Cinderellas royal table just wanted to add incase you might be interested in dining in the castle.

If she would enjoy a character buffet, 1900 Park Fare is a very nice one. Mary Poppins, Tigger, Pooh and Mad Hatter are at breakfast and I believe dinner is a princess meal.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is a very pretty restaurant with good food and midrange in price.

Citricos and Narcoossee's are both very good but with higher prices. Citricos is supposed to be Mediterrean inspired and Narcoossee's specializes in seafood. We personally feel that the prices have become too high at these two but:confused3

But really I don't think you can go wrong at the GF.

Thanks for your input. I am leaning toward the GF Cafe as I fell I want something better than a Buffet but am not sure that the menus at N and C will suite us all.

It sounds like a good choice for you. It is open for lunch as well and that is actually our favorite time to go there as the view of the grounds is so lovely from the floor to ceiling windows.

I know what you mean about the menus at C & N. Neither menu appeals to everyone in our family. The menus are pretty short these days and some would be happy at Citricos while others like Narcoossee's menu better.

Since you are from London, the prices probably don't seem bad at all though.:)

Have a great holiday.:thumbsup2

I managed to get the free DDP when it was on offer here before Christmas.

I believe that 1900 Park Fare might be under rehab during your visit (could be wrong, someone please correct me if I am!)

I really LOVE the GF Cafe also! There is a good selection of food - something for everyone. It is a lovely enviornment, very pretty with a great view of the courtyard if you are seated near a window, as BCV 23 mentioned.

Hope your daughter has a :bday:

During your stay Park Fare will be closed for rehabs and Grand Floridian Cafe will be hosting the buffets that are usually at Park Fare.

That stinks; GF Cafe would be my first suggestion, too.

I would book whatever is going to be taking the place of the 1900 Park Fare, personally. I personally don't think a 10 year old would have much fun at either Narcoossees or Citricos, but maybe they would. Plus it's 2 credits and a more upscale dining option. I think 1900 Park Fare would be a good birthday spot for a 10 year old... I just haven't read much on what they are doing while it's in rehab. I'd find out and try and book that as I think it's most appropriate - she'll love the slipper surprise!

Your other option is to have tea - you can have the slipper delivered there. It's not on the dining plan but it would be very special for a 10 year old birthday. We love doing the afternoon tea! You could do that in the afternoon and then book someplace fun for her dinner later on.

Regarding the 1900 Park Fare rehab, I heard that Grand Floridian Cafe will be hosting the character meals normally held in 1900 Park Fare. However, they will not be buffets but there will be pre-plated meals where everyone will have a choice. We'll be arriving in WDW on 8/28 and I am considering this one for us. Our DD will be 3 1/2. Personally, DH and I are not huge buffet fans so I was pleased that this was being offered. Also, I think the GFC is a beautiful restaurant - moreso than 1900 Park Fare. Enjoy your trip - maybe we'll see you there.

Sorry just now seeing the thread again it dissappeared from the list for some reason. I honestly have not been to either, but we have adr's during our honeymoon for 1900, and CRT. We have never been to Disney World, so I would imagine it would all depend on what type of setting your daughter would like. Would she rather eat in the castle and see the princesses and such, or would she rather have a more formal setting. If she likes the whole Princess aspect of it then the castle might be a good fit, it's also not a buffet. Breakfast is all you can eat, but it's plated, lunch and dinner are order from the menu, but each one is a set price. I would imagine the slipper would be the same at GF, or CRT. I am sure there will be someone who can correct me on that. I think it's all in what she would be more interested in as it's 2 very different settings, One castle MK, Princesses, other GF resort more formal sit down. All ears does have menus for all places you are looking at CRT, and GF. HTH:bride: :groom:

I would recommend the afternoon tea my DD14 loved it last year and wants to go again:)
