GF Question

i have heard there is no direct bus to AK is that correct? And how much transferring do u have to do?

Oops, I wonder if it varies then. Did you share with the Polynesian, CR or WL?

And never mind...my daughter says we didn't take it to AK...just MGM. Sorry! I'll change my answer.

Last December when taking the bus to the Animal Kingdom from the Contemporary, it then went to pick up guests at the Wilderness Lodage and then it was on it's way to the Animal Kingdom. However coming back to the Contemporary it shared with the Polynesian and Grand Floridian.

To me transferring means get off the bus and get on another one, which you don't do. Do you mean does the bus stop along the way at other locations, Yes and No.

At times it will go straight from the GF to AK, it might have already stopped at the Contemporary or Polynesian prior to getting to the GF. On the way back it might stop at WL, Cont. or Polynesian.

At certain times of the day, usually in the middle, it might stop at BB too.

So there is no way to know really but you don't transfer you just stay on the bus.

k im guessing here on this one, but here is the deal, I think you can hop the monorail to Magic Kingdom, get off the monorail walk to the buses there and grab the Animal kingdom bus. Im not sure if there is a an Animal Kingdom bus there but I think so, If not monorail to The transportaion ticket center and grab a bus there I know you can get a bus to MGM there you would think they will have a Animal Kingdom bus. Those would be my two ways of doing it!

Yes, there are buses from the TTC to the AK as well as MGM. No buses from the MK depot to other parks.

From what I've read, the park buses run every 20 minutes from the TTC. Add the monorail ride from GF with stops at the MK and CR before the TTC and it will most likely take longer that way.

But it's a fun suggestion.

I say if you plan to visit MGM or AK after leaving the Magic Kingdom, the best thing to do is walk to the Contemporary because you can go right to their bus station and you don't need go insde the Resort. I also think they would have more buses then the TTC since they either share with the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge.
