GF or Poly?

I have stayed in both and the impression I get from the GF is that it's stuffy. There are many on here who don't think that, but I never felt comfortable in the GF. We even stayed there without kids.

Back when I was planning our trip in December, I went back and forth between the GF and the Poly. For us, the prices were either $244 or $222 a night, so it wasn't a huge jump to the GF. In the end, I wanted a place where I could feel comfortable walking through.

I love the Poly and if I won the lottery, I would live there tomorrow.

Everyone's different and it's great that there's so many resorts for everyone!

I'll preface my post by writing I haven't stayed at either resort but have visited them. I like the Poly for its laid back relaxed feeling, landscaping & theming. I also liked the GF when we visited but I did get a "stuffy" feeling but that could be me. I just wouldn't feel comfortable there but thats me. We have 3 kids so I can just picture myself trying to keep them in line all the time and saying "shhhhh" all the time. And I don't want to do that so we booked the Poly for our next visit. I must say GF is an absolutely beautiful resort. Maybe someday when just DH and I go.

I hate to use the word stuffy, but I am leary of the GF with kids myself. Its just always so silent in the lobby. We usually stay at the Poly my sister the CR. We always visit the the GF for meals or passing through. I am constantly telling the kids to quiet down. Of course there are 8 of them betwwen my DSis and myself. They are far from quiet when they are all together. Even when they try to be quiet they are not. The poly allows us to be ourselves a loud boistrous group enjoying Disney and all its magic.
