:cool1: I was trying to find a map of GF property which showed the pools as well. When I checked allears.com the map only showed one pool area. Aren't there two now? Are they at opposite ends of the resort? Which buildings are closest to each pool? Already thinking of our next trip!!! :cool1:

The Main Building & Big Pine Key are closest to the theme pool. The courtyard pool is between the Main Building, Sugar Loaf Key Concierge, Conch Key, Boca Chica, and Big Pine Key. Sago Cay is the only building not beside a pool, but it really isn't that far of a walk. :)

The beach pool, by the way, is really great. It's frequently empty -- or has been when we've been there. It's basically on the beach -- almost in the shadow of the wedding pavilion. It has a little bar area and everything. It's great at night.

Don't forget that you can find maps of all the Disney resorts right here on the Dis website: click here.

I recently pulled the following images of the Grand Floridian Resort compound from Google Earth. If you view the photos, you can see where the swimming pools are located:
Grand Floridian # 1 (shows entire resort compound including both pools)
Grand Floridian # 2 (shows Summerhouse & themed pool area)

I hope that helped.

Lark, are you referring to the pool with the rock water fall??? That is a pretty area. Just curious. I only know of that waterfall pool and the garden area pool near Sugar Loaf. Just wondering if there is another that I don't know about??

Thanks,

Yup -- that's the one. They called it the "beach pool" when I was there, so that's just what I call it. That might not be the right name, though -- but that's the pool I'm thinking of.

Thanks everyone!!! Janet2k those shots were perfect. I didn't know they were on here - now I do.

THANKS! I love that pool. It is in a great location for a terrific view. I don't know what it is called. I always called it the rock pool! ;)

When we were there in Oct we were told it closed at 8. But, the large pool is open 24hrs.
