we are going june 7 to 11 for our 31st anniversary we are booked in a king bed room main building RPC
pros and cons please between the turret rooms and the ones over Gasprillas
am torn, i know the ones on the 2nd floor have balcony’s but are further away from the lounge
are the turrets noisy? they are closer to the lounge but no balcony’s. good views?
help me figure out whether to make a request (i know not guaranteed) or just let things happen
thanks

The nine on the second floor are standard size rooms with a king bed, day bed and jetted tub. The six located on floors 3-5 are larger rooms with no balcony and normal tub and a sleeper sofa instead of the day bed.

The 9 on the 2nd floor are TPV. The 6 on floors 3,4,5 have mostly views of the monorail/villas, beach pool with the ones on the end mainly courtyard view. I request the larger turret style and have stayed in a few of those, I do not care for the 2nd floor as the rooms are smaller, luckily I have not been placed in one. I am sure some like them for the TPV. No balcony on the turret rooms. 2nd floor rooms have jetted tubs.

You can get either style, you may request one or the other but it is not guaranteed. Floor plans below. The second floor plan is not accurate, there is a day bed and maybe a small chair in the 2nd floor rooms. Again, the are a standard 440 square feet where the turrets are around 700 or more. There is noise from the orchestra and the lobby. I am not normally bothered by it (it sounds like white noise to me for the most part) and prefer it to the running feet and voices I get when located on a long hallway.

The King rooms over Gasparilla's have a direct view to the castle and fireworks! So nice to watch from your balcony! Also, they are on the same hallway as the laundry, if you might want to use that.

However, they require using an elevator to get to the lounge and you do feel a little distant from everything.

We had the very first room closest to the elevator, which gave a slightly off centre view of the castle and fireworks, but had a huge balcony and was the most convenient for going to/from the lounge.

Enjoy GF RPC! It is a wonderful experience!

The view from the 2nd floor king room was amazing! It was very quiet over there too.

The turret rooms we thought were louder because you could hear lots of noise from the lobby (they were installing the gingerbread house while we were there and it was Loud!).
