GF main bldg experts, please help!

Thanks again TammiMcMan!

I couldn't seem to remember how to get into that area! I reset the option so hopefully that will help me find things faster. I haven't been on the boards in awhile and everything looked quite different! So many choices!!

If you are definitely staying in the Main Building, I would stear TOTALLY clear of the 2nd floor "honeymoon" rooms. As another poster stated....even with the "view" the actual location IMHO is a MAJOR DOWNER!

To get to those rooms...you have to exit the building.....walk along the outside, enter another door...take a seperate elevator etc.

THAT in and of itself becomes a problem any time you want to go to the lounge for coffee or anything.

MY partner and I stayed in those rooms back when we were on our "honeymoon" also.

Thanks for your input MisterDisney! Once I understood more about what these rooms had to offer (or NOT, as the case may be) I quickly realized they weren't for me. I'm thinking I should just put in a room request for what I don't want! It might be easier. LOL

BTW, I read your review of V & A and found it very interesting and informative! That will be the next thread I tackle on the restaurants board, "V & A advice for a picky eater". Look for it soon, I'd enjoying hearing your comments.

Well, when that thread shows up, I'll step up to the plate and answer the best I can. Worst case is that I step up to the plate and EAT what you don't want!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am sure with the other V&A fanatics out there, that if I can't help you, someone will!

That wouldn't be such a bad thing, for me anyway! :teeth:
I'm sure my DH wouldn't see it that way however. He might just raise an eyebrow when you pull up a chair to our special dinner! Are there doggie bags I could mail? :rotfl2:

Thread is up and running whenever you're ready to respond! Thanks!

I'll get under the table...and you can just pass things down to me, he'll never notice me.

I was just at GF in March and stayed in the honeymoon suite with my husband and 2 children. I know, your all thinking how did we fit with one king size bed? The room had a sofa bed in it! They messed up our ressies and found us this room. It was on top of Gaspy's Grill ( thats what they call it for short). Beautiful view of the castle and water, but it was really not as private on the balcony overlooking everyone eating outside of Gaspy's. It was also a pain to get to these rooms for you must take two elevators to get there because it is on the second floor. It was a lot of walking, your better off staying in the Sugar Loaf Concierge. If you plan on staying in the Main Building, I would definitely book a deluxe room. We had that last year in Jan. and was just perfect. Plenty of room and it was on the 4th floor. I hope this helps.

So, magical4us4, the sofa was an open out type? That's neat! Sorry to hear your ressies were messed up. What happened? Don't mean to be nosy, just curious! The room on the 2nd floor was just regular sized, right? This is what I'm hearing about this area too. Thanks for adding your experience. We definitely want the main bldg. What type of deluxe room did you have last time? Do you remember the room #?
