GF Lagoon view worth it? Did you see MK?

I know there is a chance, a big chance that we will not get a MK view. I'm just curious how many people still thought it was worth it and how many people had the MK view.

we received an upgrade, and got a castle view. it was awesome!! it was our first trip to disney, and we were in awe. our 3 dd's were soooooooooo impressed -- almost as impressed as me and DH -- lol.

we are going back to GF in january, and although i would like to pay for lagoon view, DH doesn't want to. oh well. i'm sure garden view will be great too.

Went in April, with LV ressie. Arrived before 10am was given mk view in Big Pine (must have been an end room) but it didn't have a daybed which i wanted. They then gave me a Big Pine with a day bed but with a view of the Poly, didn't care for the colors or the room + there was a big tree in the way anyway. Went back to front desk and they really worked at getting me what I wanted. Came back with 1st floor in Boca Chica with a day bed. Loved the room and had two friendly ducks visit us. We could see MK to the left, however the fireworks were to the left and blocked by the upper floors (they jutted out). No problem we just jumped the railing with a towel and watched them by the lake.

We stayed in Boca Chica, on the 3rd floor I think, this was back in 1999 so the memory is not so good. But we loved the view, our room was more to the right side of the building but we could see the castle when we were on our balcony and looked to the left. We could see the CR, WL and the Poly and we could hear the howling of the dog/wolf from the haunted mansion.

We stayed in Boca Chica, on the 3rd floor I think, this was back in 1999 so the memory is not so good. But we loved the view, our room was more to the right side of the building but we could see the castle when we were on our balcony and looked to the left. Exactly our experiece at Boca Chica, too We loved being able to see everything going on around the entire lagoon.

this was what our view was like as well. we loved watching the castle at night. and we all enjoyed the sound of the howling dog! now that sound is what i most associate with DW!

We stayed at GF on our first WDW trip in 1994. Didn't know you could request a castle view. We faced the Polynesian in Big Pine Key.

I didn't know how to vote...our first LV room had a view of the MK and was incredible...we didn't ask for it...just received it. The next year we had a LV room and requested the same room...not only did we not get a MK view, we had a view of a pine tree. We've never had LV room since, but we have tried honeymoon rooms, lodge tower rooms and lodge concierge. All the GF rooms are lovely

Asked for a castle view and the wish was granted. We were in Big Pine Key and had near perfect views of MK including fireworks, Contemporary, Poly and the water pageant. It was the best!
