When do they start working on the gingerbread house? Is it something you can sit in the lobby and watch them build or it is hidden behind "walls"?

Thanks

We stayed in the GF 3 years ago for our Disney wedding. We checked in November 12 and they were in the process of building it. It was so much fun to watch and we took pictures over a few days of the progress of the building of it.

We checked in on Nov. 11th last year, and the house was about three quarters done! We enjoyed the free samples they were giving out. :)

Can't wait to see it in 3 weeks, should be done by then.;)

Isn't this also about the same time they put up the Christmas decorations or is that Dec 12-13??? I love the GB house at the GF makes the whole building smell good... :)

There is no exact set date for starting/completing certain resorts decorations.

They start right after the halloween decorations are down and continue until they are ALL up the Saturday after Thanksgiving, with the exception of the MK tree, which is put up after the parade taping the following weekend.

Many of the trees go up overnight, while the more intricate displays like the Gingerbread house at GF and the carousel at BW take a lot longer.

Everything stays up until a day or two after NYE, with the exception of the last few years, when they were hit by a cold snap and had to delay it a few days. Everything comes down very, very quickly.
