Hello,

We are going to GF one afternoon for tea. I was looking at their menu and didn't realize how many choices there are just for the tea. DH and I will probably get the Buckingham Palace which includes traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complemented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with your choice of tea.
Has anyone ordered that? What did you think?

I'm also confused about what tea to order. There are so many kinds. What have you had? How did it taste? I prefer black teas over herb teas so I will probably get the Oolong or the English Breakfast.

Any suggestions?

The two times I have been, I have ordered a la carte items and shared them with my family. But I don't think you will be disappointed - in fact, it is actually a lot of food, so your belly will be full and you may even skip dinner.

As far as choosing which tea, your server will explain all the teas to you. Yes, there are a lot, but if you're unsure, the server will ask you what you like and help you pinpoint what would be yummy to you.

I had the princess tea and so did my DD (who was 3 at the time) and it was very good!

Enjoy the tea! It's a wonderful experience.

DH and I went there earlier this month and we each had the buckingham and tea...it was amazing and we were both so full! I have a ton of pics and a long review in my signature.

The Buckingham is all I have ordered. I have been with others a few times when they order either the Prince Edward's Tea or Grand.
DH was one who ordered one of those. He is not a wine drinker and the only other option offered was a sparkling cider that anyone can buy at the grocery store. So I don't see him ever ordering that again.
The only other difference was a small slice of some sort of sausage. It did not look appetizing to me, but DH said it was really good. (As did the other person who ate it one another occasion.) And it is a small slice of sausage. Something most guys would just pop in the mouth in one bite. Here, they may take three nibbles. ;) :rotfl2:
