My wife and I flew out of Indianapolis on ATA early Sunday Morning 10/10/04. The flight went quickly as we befriended a gentleman and enjoyed a nice 2 hour conversation. We rented with Dollar and were upgraded to a Grand Caravan, I'd say we had plenty of room for the 2 of us. We finally have a better handle on Orlando and headed to the outlet and grocery stores before checking in.

We were originally scheduled for a Vero Beach Resort getaway but hurricane Jeanne took care of that. We were able to use our DVC points for 2 nights at CBR and 3 at OKW instead. The last time we were at CBR was nearly 12 years ago after I asked my bride for her hand in marriage in front of the Christmas tree on main street. We stayed in Aruba and enjoyed the landscaping and walks through the palms/bamboo and over the bridge to the main pool and shops. Hungry earlier than expected we ordered a pizza which was not very good but at least was filling. It was raining Monday morning, so we used our DVC pool hopping to spend the morning hot tubbing and playing dominos at the Wilderness Lodge. Later that evening we headed over to AKL for more dominos and spent a couple hours gorging ourselves at Boma's. Tuesday we enjoyed Blizzard beach before checkin in to OKW. We had never stayed here before and enjoyed it's laid back feel even though the main pool was closed. After dinner we took the boat to check out SSR and Downtown Disney. We hung out at OKW Wednesday morning but enjoyed SSR's quiet pool in the afternoon. Later that night we did Comedy Warehouse and Adventurers Club...Kungaloosh. Hung out at OKW on Thursday until MNSSHP which was great. All the rides were walk on's and it was great to see the park at night. Friday we packed up and headed over to Typhoon Lagoon. After an hour or so it started to rain heavilly so we had lunch and headed back to SSR hot tub. The weather cleared and we finished our trip with a return to the Lagoon before heading to the airport. While this wasn't the beach escape we had hoped for, we sure enjoyed having fun together. We did feel just a little guilty so we promise to bring the kids next time. Happy to answer any questions.

Glad to see another Dis'er from the Indy area! Happy to hear you had such a great time! We will be staying at CBR in December. Is it as beautiful as I have heard? Really looking forward to walking around the resort and over the bridge to Port Royale.

Magic made for two, dont feel too guilty.....even us adults need a little magic just for ourselves. Besides it has a way of spilling over onto the kids! Happy family!

pardon me if this is out of bounds, but if you're a gosa member what's your name? i've met several in yellowstone and subscribe to their list. just curious if you're someone id recognize :D

Thanks for the report. I loved hearing about your proposal 12 years ago!! And by the way, don't ever feel guilty leaving the kids at home. My DH and I love taking our little boy but our last trip we can honestly say we enjoyed without him!

We were there last week as well. Got caught in AK Monday 10/11 in the DOWNPOUR and tried to go back to AK on Friday, and got caught in the rain again!

It even rained a little at MNSSHP on Tuesday 10/12, but the parade went on about 45 minutes late, and all was well again!
