Getting your luggage to Magical Express .

We have an 11am flight going home. Do we bring our luggage with us when we go to catch the bus, or send it earlier? Also, can I still send my luggage if I'm driving as it would make for a very crowded car with passengers and luggage. Thanks

Call Bell Services and they will pick up you and your luggage in a van. You can then check it with Resort Airline Checkin. You DO NOT have to use DME bus service to use RAC. You just have to be on a participating airline.

CLKelly, So they will deliver it to the airport for you? Where do you claim it when you do get to the airport?

Sorry, I should have explained. We will be traveling back by car but would not have room for the luggage. Can I still sent it on ME?

Are you traveling to the airport by car or home by car??

If you are traveling to the airport by car, then yes there is a service at the resorts called Resort Airline Checkin.

If you are flying American Airlines, Continental, Delta, jetBlue, United/Ted, Northwest, Alaska Airlines, AirTran Airways, or US Airways then you can get your luggage to the front desk of your resort between 5am and 1pm (but no later than 3 hours before your flight) and check in for the flight and check your luggage. You will receive your boarding passes right there at the resort and your luggage will be transported to MCO and loaded onto your plane. (All adults must be present with photo ID)

You won't see your luggage again until the carousel at your home airport.

You can then get to the airport any way you see fit: drive yourself, taxi, or Disney's Magical Express.

If your carrier charges for checked luggage or excess luggage, you can still utilize the RAC desk. Simply call BAGS (the company that operates the RAC desk) prior to checking in at the desk. You may pay your fee over the phone using your Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card. (You can find the number for BAGS listed on your DME paperwork, or by dialing 0 from your resort telephone).

Think of it as curbside checkin, but the curb is 30 miles from the airport, so tip accordingly.

Thanks for the great info. Theres eleven of us.....sevan adults and four kids, traveling in two cars, so there will be a lot of luggage. We will be using ME to get to the campground but renting cars for the latter part of our trip and we'll be able to drive to the airport going home. Thanks again for setting my mind at ease!!!
