A friend of mine just got back from DLR. They were there just before Christmas (the weekend before) and had the WOC picnic. However he said that he didn't think it was necessary to get that because the seating offered wasn't as good as it was for those with Fastpasses.

He also said that he thinks guests of the GCH (we're staying in GCV) get into DCA earlier than the general public, and as such can get the Fastpasses before the mob rushes to the machines.

I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone knew for sure whether or not this was true. We'll be there Feb 4 - 9, which I know is the slow season.

ETA: OK so the search finally worked for me and I found HydroGuy's response to someone here http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2615918&highlight=woc

So if I'm reading this right, we should be able to get into DCA at 9:00 AM and get Fastpasses. Is this still correct?

By the way, I found this while searching for the WOC Superthread that used to be on here a while back, but now I can't find that one. Anyone care to share the link?

1. True. WoC picnics get you WoC FP that are the same as those you would get at the FP machines. However, if you do the WoC full meal (at Ariel's or Wine Country), there is a special reserved area of the WoC viewing area and it is not the same as a FP.

2. Also true. Onsite hotel people get in at 9, everyone else can get in at 9:30. For what it's worth though, I was there during Christmas week, entered around 9:45 and had no wait for WoC FPs and got the Blue section (the best color) for the first show. Being let in 30 min early is not a huge advantage at all.

Didn't you say it was raining that day? ;)

Wow, thanks for the info. This and the other thread will help quite a bit :)
