Getting WOC Fastpass in morning

On a non EMH morning, can you still get a WOC fastpass 30 minutes before the park opens? My friends are going on a Tuesday in October, they want to get a blue section fastpass. It'd be nice to just be able to get that out of the way before dealing with Carsland. Can you still do that? Or do you have to wait until opening now?

Back before Carsland this was the case. I am not sure if it is still true on non-EMH days.

Now that said other than a time saver, there is no need to get a WoC early. They are available into the late morning (first show) and late afternoon for second show.

Didn't know you could to do that! I remember how crazy it was during its first year.
