Getting what you deserve

The OP needs to relax. Gridlock will prevail for the next few years.

Ohhhhh....trying to think of something to say here and just realized I don't have the words. It saddens me to think the United States of America has people in it that think this way.... :sad2:
Sadly they are on both sides of the aisle.

Higher taxes
Gay Marriage
Millions more illegals flooding through an unchecked border
Free medical care, college tuition, etc. for those illegals
24 hour abortion clinics
A degraded military
Further erosion of the family and values

1) Canada doesn't want you and your crazy hateful opinions
2) Come pay taxes here, we won't mind
3) We let our gays get married (and why not, it's not hurting anyone!)
4) We're begging foreigners to come and work here and when they get sick, they can go to the doctor... for free!
5) Our soldiers fight with hockey sticks and our submarine fleet runs on a track in the middle of West Edmonton Mall
6) Erosion of family values is such a broad topic but i'm sure you wouldn't like the lax policy on marijuana, 18 or 19 is the legal drinking age, lots of families have 2 working parents, church - what's that?
7) Oh, and there are lots of muslims here, they're members of society just like everyone else and that's the way it should be.

GET OVER YOURSELF! Don't move to Canada cause that attitude doesn't fly here.

I think we were posting at the same time - your explanation wasn't up when I was posting.

It doesn't seem to me that saying the military isn't all that great is showing much support.

I was about to suggest not letting the door hit you... well, you know. But now I see that Canada is full. ;)

Well, move to Texas then. You can have your Conservative Republicans and all of the things you listed at the same time. Wheeee, fun for everyone!

OOPS!! But not in Dallas County!! Because we Dems rocked HARD!! 42 Republican's are out on their hineys today. :cheer2:

Stephen Colbert last night:

You’re the ones who made this bed. Now you’re the ones who’ll have to move over so a gay couple can sleep in it. Tomorrow you’re all gonna wake up in a brave new world. A world where the Constitution gets trampled by an army of terrorist clones, created in a stem cell research lab run by homosexual doctors who sterilize their instruments over burning American flags. Where tax and spend Democrats take all of your hard-earned money and use it to buy electric cars for National Public Radio, and teach evolution to illegal immigrants. Oh, and everybody’s high!

NeverEnufWDW or OpenMindedness:

If I ran away from this country everytime it didn't go my way in my FULL and eventful 50 years I'd be changing my zip code continuously.

The only thing that is constant in life is CHANGE. In 1994, 2000 and 2004 I had to bite my tongue and DEAL, it is now the other side's turn.

I will not gloat, I cannot, because the constance of change will turn again, in my life and in my son's life.

Unlike you I've learned to live with my disappointments. Why? Because they, too are constant, but the only CONSTANT in my life has nothing to do with a Republican or a Democrat.

Maybe you too can find peace in that.

Speaking as a moderate Dem--although I'm thrilled with the election results (sorry, OP--but really, y'all had your chance for a long time now), I'm nervously cautious about the reality of our situation. TPTB have spent the past 6 years getting us mired in debt and international hostility that I fear it will take a LONG time to turn things around. We need to be patient and diligent...
(But I'm still doing a serious happy dance here! :cool1: ) :sunny:

That was the biggest laugh of my night last night. Pass me a slice of that devil's food terrorist cake please :rotfl:

I was posting the response above at 10:24, the same time you were posting your explanation in agreement with CFG.

Too bad your opinion precludes giving an old friend the benefit of the doubt but hey what else is new eh?

"What else is new?" WTH are you talking about???

I agree, that is bull. However, SPW's comments weren't directed at the war, they were directed at the military. Two totally different animals.

I think they are two different things. Supporting the troops, means the individual soldiers, who absolutely deserve our support. But "the military" applies more to "the Powers that be" The decision makers, and stratagests <sp?> who plan and execute the war mechanism. They are the one's who have failed - NOT the soldiers. The soldiers haven't even been given a reasonable chance to do what needed to be done because this was war so poorly planned and concieved.

Ok I am trying to stay away from religion and politics topics...both are no win. But as I tell others today, it is now our turn to screw up America. Both sides are not angels, period. They both raise the taxes on my hard earned income to put money in their pockets. It would be nice if the rest of America could vote in a pay raise for themselves.

Ok...flame suit on..

I voted straight Republican ticket and for some reason I am not wanting to jump off the bridge today. I honestly feel that the Republicans needed a good spanking nationwide. I have not been happy with the direction my party is going and have been becoming very apathetic. Now, let us see what the Dems can do and hopefully not much. If they don't add up, they too will be thrown out. American people are very smart. My fear is that the bickering will continue and both parties have been very guilty of that. We will see.

We're waiting for you guys to take advantage of the 195 relocation project easing up traffic so you can back it up again by putting a casino in Fall River :thumbsup2
