We are going Presidents week. I am so excited its getting close. I am also getting very nervous because it looks like it is going to be so crowded. All three hotels are almost sold out. Very few rooms left. I bet the express lines are going to have extremely long waits.

Maybe not. I was there over Thanksgiving and it was really, really packed. The longest I waited was about 10 minutes (for The Hulk).

I think you'll be fine, don't worry. :)

How many days will you be there?

We will be there from the 18th-24th at the HRH. I know we have plenty of time to take it slow, but we are staying on site so we dont have to wait on long lines. I read some posts where people said they waited 45 mins on express lines during busy times. Doesnt sound like fun or what I am paying for.

First of all, you have PLENTY of time! A week is perfect for a nice, relaxing, fun vacation. You've got so much time that I'd suggest driving off site for some other fun stuff on International Drive.

Second, I've been to US/IOA many, many times (I live 30 minutes away), and I've never seen the Express line look like it was a 45 minute wait. But even if it was 45 minutes, you still have plenty of time to see everything.

The only times my waits have been 45 minutes in an express line is when the ride went down and lines backed up while they repaired it. And if I recall correctly, the posts that have said the lines can go up to 45 minutes also said it was because of a ride malfunction.

If an express line is over 15 minutes, we will leave, ride something else and then go back. Usually the ride will have been fixed and you get right on.

I have been at Thanksgiving, Christmas, the busiest parts of the summer and Spring Break and my longest waits have usually never been more than 10 - 15 minutes.

Relax, you will be fine. FOTL is the greatest perk ever!

I've never waited in the express pass line for more than 20 minutes and that was for the Mummy when it first opened. I always go to Universal in the summer when it's at it's busiest and never wait that long.

I should add that we are so spoiled by FOTL, that even when it is busy, we fidget at the 15 minute waits, as most of the time, it is shorter.

For instance, Thanksgiving day 2007. Hulk was at 60 minutes, walk-on with FOTL. Spidey was at 45 minutes, I think we waited 3 minutes. MIB was at 30 -45 minutes. I think we rode it 5 or 6 times in 45 minutes. It did go down once and it was still only 15 minutes while they replaced a car on the track. Mummy was at 45 minutes and we waited about 5.

And if you go when the park opens, then it really is walk-on. Again, early Thanksgiving morning, we hit Studios first thing in the morning. First up was Mummy. Not only was it the epitome of FOTL, the first three rides, we had the car (which seats 16) completely to ourselves.

We were there last Pres. day week-end and it was not bad at all. The weather was great and waits were nothing with FOTL. We were there Thanksgiving week-end also and it was PACKED!! We still did not have more than a 10-15 minute wait for anything. Have a great time!
