I was happy to put off buying my Universal tickets but after reading rumours of prices rising in February, I'm thinking of taking the plunge. My plan is to find the lowest price and ask FloridaTix to price match as you get real tickets, free delivery and no charge for using a credit card. Will go for the 14 day/two park tickets for 5 of us.

And to add to that, I can start booking ADRs in 17 days. Eeeeek.

Also through Quidco you can get money back off Florida Tix I believe...well, I did back when I booked our Universal ones not to long since! :)

Last year we got our Universal tickets from ATD and included a free 14 day pass to Legoland. We had a great day there so hoping the same deal offered again as 15 of us going this year including two 8 year olds. I think we went on more rides at Legoland in one day than we have ever done before. Think it was nearly 40. Absolutely no queues and this was in August.

I had read that WDW tickets may be rising in Feb, but wasn't aware that Universal may too. Ticket prices are creeping up almost daily! I got DC tickets around 8/1 and checked the US price at same time, it was £119 per adult, early last week it was £120, it was £121 yesterday (that is the cheapest I could find).

I used Orlando Attraction Tickets as they do deposit (although we paid in full), no cc charge, free signed for delivery and real tickets too. I found them the most competitive on price. ATD wanted £130 per adult for US yesterday!! No wonder they give away so many 'freebies'! I've also read that if you ring and ask them to price match, they will, but they will remove any 'free' offers like free tickets or airboat rides etc. Not sure how true this is.

We still need to book Universal too but as I've just booked and paid for DC (we wanted to secure date as Saturdays in August were getting booked up fast), and also booked and paid for our hire car too. So, I think Universal will have to wait sadly.... We've done quite well as all the tickets we've booked so far, including things like Memory Maker, we've booked just before a price increase - our DC dates are now £14 more per person and at 6 of us are going it's a saving! But sadly, I think we'll have to ride the storm with Universal prices for a while yet!

Hope you get sorted out.

We've not long booked our universal hotel but haven't got tickets yet and I think that will have to wait until next month. I'm still trying to work out exactly what ADRs we want and when ready for when we can book on the 17th:goodvibes

I am going to take the plunge this week as I can't help feeling twitchy about it. Universal's own prices are £136 per adult! I am also going to book the Premier Inn for the night before because I am getting nervous about driving to Manchester on the day we fly, just in case of hold-ups.

With the Florida parks they are a bit like lemmings what one does the others follow :headache:

Regarding the Universal tickets creeping up that probably has more to do with the exchange rate than anything else.

Yes, I agree about the rate - it has made a difference to ticket prices I'm sure.

Glad you got booked Joolz!
