Getting to Universal with a scooter?

Best way to get from Port Orleans French Quarter to Universal Studios for a day, with a scooter? We're renting one for my mom for the week. We will be a party of 3. We won't have a car.

Mears taxi. Assembled, you need to request a taxi van. It comes with a ramp that folds out of the rear doors, she can ride right in, be sure the driver ties it down.
Or rent one that can be disassembled, and use a regular taxi or a rideshatlre. Be ready, willin, able to stow the pieces yourself, although drkvers tend to be really helpful.
Or Mears shuttle, arrange at least a day early, be sure to let them know about the ECV.
Or leave that one in your room, use any transport, and rent one at Universal.

The Mears taxi van sounds like a good option. How do you go about asking for one? Do we need to arrange in advance?

I would call the day before since you need a wheelchair accessible one. You can look up the number or the hotel should have it.
