Hi all,
Staying at WL and would like to go to lunch at Trail's End one afternoon. Is there a boat that will take us to FW, or a walkway, rather than getting on a bus or driving there? As I recall from going to HDDR, driving our car there would mean parking and then having to get on an internal bus to get to the restaurant.

Thanks!

you can take a boat and I believe Trail's End is within walking distance from the boat dock; no internal bus transpo necessary!

Absolutely!:) You can walk, but the boats are more fun!(and less strenuous)!:) There is a boat route that goes from Magic Kingdom to WL to FW or vice-versa and a boat route that goes from CR to FW to WL or vice-versa.:)

Take the boat! It's just steps off the boat dock and a fantastic ride over.

We will be staying at FW and have dinner ressies at WCC at WL. We plan on using the walking trail for a nice stroll there and then taking the boat back to FW since it will be dark by then.

Best of both

Thanks everyone! I think we will boat it over and then take the trail back to work off some calories from the buffet!:thumbsup2

you know the menu for lunch changed, right? It's a soup, salad and sandwich bar/buffet now, it's not like the dinner buffet anymore. Just thought I'd put it out there, just in case!

Yes, I know this. They still have the chicken (albeit cold) on the buffet, so I will be happy. The soups and the different salads look good too. It's still a good deal for the price.

I always walk between the resorts, it's about 20 minutes (there are a couple of different ways to do it, one of the walks is alongside the water for part of the way).

no arguments here, we will be trying it next month based on the new format; DH is a sandwich only kinda guy for lunch and I love soup and salad, so for the price, we can't go wrong!

The only path I am familiar with between FW and WL is the paved walkway across from the Settlement Depot Bus Stop.Is the trail by the water hard to find? That sounds like more fun.Thanks.:)

I'm pretty sure that wilderness trail between the two resorts is closed at night. I've biked many times on it; you're guaranteed of seeing a white-tailed deer or two. You'll never believe you're in WDW. On bike it's about a five minute ride.

I don't know how to find either walkway. Can anyone tell me what to look for from the Villas? I'd much prefer to walk over.

I have walked the paved walkway between FW and WL that starts/ends across from the Settlement Depot Bus Stop.Is this the wilderness trail you are referring to?Or a previous poster referred to a trail between FW and WL along the water-is that the wilderness trail and how do you access it?Thanks.:)
