Getting to the MK EARLY for CRP breakfast???

WOW!!! I am still on my high for getting resservations for Cinderella's Palace breakfast at 8:10.

Now, I have a question! We are staying off-site (next time DEFINITELY staying on-site!) and will have our car. We are staying 2 miles from the resort. The reservation CM told me to be at the gates at LEAST 30 minutes prior, and I hear that it can take 45 minutes to get to the MK from the parking lot.


Now.....will there be a bus, tram or source of transporatation that EARLY? Monorail does not run until 8:00 a.m. right?

This will be on the 26th of September so I don't know what the hours will be. So what is the best way to get from our car to the MK that morning?

Anyone else ever eat this early? I am hoping to get some good pics on Main Street before the bigger crowds! I am so psyched!!!!!!

ok - that all depends on what day your CRT ps is. If it is an early entry day then the park opens at 8am and you want to be sure to be there much earlier then that -

If it is a standard opejning morning - not an ee morning then the park opens at 9 and if you show up half an hour early for you 8:10 seating you will be fine - more then fine

when we did crt on a tuesday (non ee for MK) we had 8:05 seating - we were at the contemporary so we did not ever need to park in the lots - we went to the front gate probably like... oh 7:30 to 7:40 ...maybe 7:45 and we were met by a crowd already - a small crowd but a crowd nevertheless - maybe 150 people -
The PS line is on the far left of the entrance gates - they will have a sign saying so - a guy will come around asking for ps's - be sure to bring at least two copies of your ps's on your trip -

I have never walked the parking lot at any park - but I saw how big the AK one was when we drove there for ee morning there... we were first 20 cars - and it was a very short walk to the front gate - the only thing keeping us from having been right at the front gate is the handicapped parking section which obviously has preference - if a person showed up late - yeah I could see it would be a long brutal walk - but literally if your 8am ps ia for a day when the park opens at 9 then there should be little if any parking hassle at 7:30 or 7:40 in the morning

Is there a form of transportation from the parking lot to the MK at this early of a time?

I don't know if the 26th, which is a Friday, is an EE day or not!

friday is not an ee day for MK - EE days for MK are thursday and sunday (for sure thursday) - as to the travel issue - I know you can go to the TTC and catch the monorail - you might want to call and find out when monorail service starts in the morning - or for that matter I am sure someone on here will know...

what am I saying - the day my daughter dressed up for cindies we took the monorail - so for sure it is open that early in the morning

I read somewhere that the monorail for resort guests is open really early but the one from the TTC that is to the MK and back opens at 8 a.m. So I am not sure what to do!

My GOAL for next year is to stay at the Contemporary resort. I have wanted to stay there since I was 18 years old!

ok - so I just called a cm - they say all transportation, buses, monorails, start at 7am in the morning. you may want to call and verify

I checked out the picture RIGHT AWAY!!! And I wanted to just say:

"THANKS A LOT!!!"

My DD was sitting here with me and now SHE wants a dress just like that one!!!! Where did you get it? My daughter is going to be 9 on Friday and that would be such a cool gift if I could find one! Maybe I'll give her a raincheck.

Nice picture, it really couldn't get any better than that. I am hoping to be able to take some great pictures too. There are so many posted on this board that are terrific.

What kind of camera did you use? The lighting is perfection!

oops sorry to sentence you to buying a dress - not what I meant to do... you can find them at many of the resort shops - we got that one at fantasia in the contemporary (fourth floor opposite of the chef mickeys side of the floor). There is a shop on the left hand side as you are walking down mainstreet that also has a bunch of character outfits. Fortunately my little girl is blonde so we didn't need the wig. I guess you could call wdw merchandising and get one - it comes with "glass" slippers (blue clear plastic). I could not find one anywhere before we went for our trip - even local disney stores don't carry them - set me back more then I wanted to pay but... I spoil the daylights out of my daughter ... she will probably a high maintenance catch when she grows up !! hahahahahaha... maybe thats not a good thing...

as to what camera - it was a kodak preview aps camera with a built in auto flash - essentially a glorified instant camera with a zoom... I was one photographing banshi ... I have to say they are very patient with you at the character greets - I took stills and video.

oh and whatever camera you do use - if you can get one that can take shots in fairly fast succession I find that helps - I used to be a professional model long ago and far away - and these photogs had cameras that would rapid fire a slew of shots - you don't need anything that awesome - but I found... I am not that handsome but when you have 250 shots from one session a few are bound to make you look like adonis - so what I do when I take pictures is I take a minimum of 2 sometimes up to 4 - that way I am almost gauranteed to have at least one good one where everyone is smiling and doesn't look artificial...but for sure take two shots just as a rule of thumb
