How can I get to the MK before the rope drop. I want my DD to see the opening stuff. Well, I guess I want to see it too. :goodvibes My husband and I seem to remember not being able to get there via boat on time for this stuff. Are we forgetting something or do you all have some suggestions? Also, anyone know anything about waking tink up once inside the MK? You help and suggestions is much appreciated.

If the boats don't start early enough, you can always drive and park in the parking lot. We always get the rope drop when we do Cinderallas early breakfast. Actually our kids got to wake up tinkerbelle last year because they were the first into tinks shop after rope drop. That was cool.

I would suggest swim, but then you get all wet and they really frown on it!:lmao:

(just kidding)

How early do the boats run? We will be there in june if it makes a difference.

I am not opposed to swimming, I just don't think my DD4 could make it. Maybe next time!!

People here are so silly...hehe :rotfl:

We rode the boat over and was there at opening, if that helps any, we weren't there 5 minutes and the rope drop started, so if you want to get there really, really early I would just drive over, the parking won't cost you anything.

I guess it all depends on just how early you want to get there, ask the boat driver one day how early they will be there the next morning, that you want to make rope drop ,that's what we did and the next day it was a different driver but he was right on time ready to go. :thumbsup2

Take the smaller boat to the Contemporary, then walk from the Contemporary. That boat starts at 6:45 am.

I didn't remember that either and we even used the boat on a couple of mornings...geez..

Thanks for the help. I never thought of the "big toaster" boat. I don't know if I need to get there that early, but it is good to know the options. It seems like when we went last time we tried to get there by roap drop, but the boat spent so much time at Wilderness Lodge we missed it. I can't really recall. It was our daughter's first trip and I was more into her reaction to Cinderella's Castle than anything else. You guys are great!!

The MK boat is no longer shared with WL. I think the WL gusets complained too much about having to spend too much time with us "low-life trailer trash" people.:confused3

When did the boat change occur? This is great news!!!! I hated waiting on the WL stop.

They can say what they want about us camper people, however I know who and or what has been in my bed :goodvibes

Maybe you will have the luxury of staying at a close loop to the marina to walk but we did not. So, we walked to our bus stop, waited, rode the internal bus to the settlement, then walked to the boat dock, waited, rode the boat over to MK, and then walked to the ticket turnstile. This process took us 1 hour from campsite to turnstile, and we did it about 6-8 times last trip. Just want to give you the heads up on how long it may take you from this MK resort. I swear I can get into that park faster from many non-disney hotels any day!

Anytime you have to use internal buses, the trip gets longer. That's why the cart is so helpful.
