Getting to the Hotel from Airport?

I am new to Disney World and will be arriving next week. Is there a shuttle that can take me to my hotel, I am staying at the Coronado Resort. I read a little about Magical Express, but is there some other shuttle that will take me, or should I plan on just taking a cab?

Why don't you want to use Magic Express? They get your luggage, take you to your resort and then deliver your luggage to your room. On check-out, if you're flying with one of several major carriers, you can check your bags at your resort and even get your boarding pass there so that when you arrive at the airport, you just have to find your gate. I've read a few complaints here about the wait time for a bus to their resort, but I usually haven't waited more than 15-20 minutes for one.

To answer your question. Yes, there are other means of transportation to Disney. There is the taxi system. You pick up your luggage and walk downstairs to the bottom floor and go outside. The commercial lane is where you will find the taxis. Because I don't know what side you arrive on I can only tell you to walk down the commercial lane until you spot the Taxi spaces. Walk up to the starter and ask for the taxi. He or she will take care of you.

The vehicle-for-hire (car Service) is also available. You can find these transportation experts on the web. The Orlando web site has all the VFH companies that are permitted at the Orlando International airport. Click on this link and you can pick up some phone numbers to call. Car service has to be scheduled before you arrive at Orlando so your e-mail or phone system is the way you will get a hold of these companies.

There are also shuttles but if you pick Mears they will charge you than put you on a DME bus.
