I know you can get to the bakery in Epcot before WS opens, but can you get in before Epcot opens? Now that I ask that, I'm thinking no, right? I mean, why wouldn't everyone do it then?

So getting back to my real question.....how can you get back to the France pavilion before 11am? Will they let me back to grab a pastry if we enter from Future World? Or do I have to get in through the International Gateway? We aren't staying at one of the Epcot resorts, we'll be coming to Epcot via bus from Caribbean Beach resort.

Thanks in advance!

You can get to the France pavilion from Future World. Take the pathway from FW past Canada and United Kingdom then cross the bridge to France. You will need to return to FW the same way as until the rest of WS opens at 11am you can't go beyond France.

Les Halles open at 9 am they allow you to go (Try the roulé au lard for breakfast soooooo good!)

Thank you both! I meant to try this place last time we were there but now I've put it on the spreadsheet!

This is good to know. I will be staying at Beach Club and have park hoppers. France for breakfast it is!

I know, right? I know there are so many good things to eat there....F&W or not, I have a feeling I'll be checking out the bakery once or twice this trip!

We stayed at Beach Club and ate there almost every morning using our snack credits on DDP. Amazing pastries !!

So did I! One morning, I also got lunch to go, and went back to BCV and reheated it at lunchtime.

We'll be there during F&W so I had originally planned on picking up breakfast for our Epcot days....now we may be talking other meals as well, which really cuts into my booth time, lol!

So this is a 2 part question and a 2 part answer -

yes, you can get into the France pavilion before World Showcase opens - WS opens at 11 but the bakery opens at 9. WS isn't barricaded off or anything, it's just that nothing is open yet (except the bakery).

no, you can't get into the France pavilion before the park opens at 9, if that's what you're asking. even if you could, the bakery opens at 9 anyway.

Hope this is what you were asking.

Parts of World Showcase may not be "Barricaded off" but they are most definitely roped off prior to the opening of WS at 11AM. I have personally had to wait behind ropes to cross the bridge to get to France and there is most definitely a rope preventing guest from going beyond France toward Morocco. As I've never entered from the other side I'm not sure about Mexico but I believe it is roped off at the bridge there also.

I can't remember exactly where the rope is on that side, but it was somewhere after Norway so that guests can access Akersus for breakfast.

Guests can walk through France,United Kingdom,Canada,Mexico and Norway until 11:00 AM.

There is a rope between Norway and China and a rope between France and Morocco until 11:00 AM.

The only things open before 11:00 AM are Akershus, the "front part" of the Norway Merch Shop,World Traveler and the Bakery and adjacent Merch Shop in France(also sometimes the kiosks in Canada and UK wull open before 11:00 AM).:)

huh - I never knew that. (about the roping off)

Based on how many people were (rather weren't) at the French Bakery last time I was there-in January-I'd say you're not the only one. To me, eating breakfast there is WDW's best kept secret. Creme brulee makes an excellent breakfast for me!

Prior to 11 AM, the World Showcase is roped off starting between Norway and China on the left side (if entering from Future World) and starting at just past France on the right side. Part of the France pavilion including the Belle meet and greet area isn't accessible until they take the rope down. The only things open will be Akershus and Les Halles and limited merchandise locations in Norway and France. You will be walking through other pavilions to reach those, but the restaurants and stores will not be open.

You'll see cast members walking through to report to work - I have read here that some guests are offended by that because they think you shouldn't ever see a cast member walking to or from their post. That is what you are going to see if you must walk through some pavilions to get to others that have early opening restaurants, though.

United Kingdom and Canada Cast Members walk 'onstage" ALL day to report for work-they enter WS from right behind the First Aid/Odyssey building.:)
