Hi:
We will be there in May for a short trip so will not rent a car. We are staying at BWV. How do you get to other resorts for meals - we always eat breakfast at Kona but how do you get there before the parks open?

There is no direct resort-to-resort transportation (except among resorts on the monorail loop), so get directly from one resort to another, you will need to take Disney transportation (which generally starts running an hour before the parks open), make transfers and be prepared for this to take some time (as much as an hour or more to get from one resort to another).

For example, to get from Boardwalk to Poly, you could bus to the MK and then take the resort monorail to the Poly or you could walk/boat to DHS and then take a bus to Poly from there.

Thanks - Now I know why we rent a car. We would go to Kona Cafe for breakfast & be in the MK by 9:30.

Taking taxis is another option. Depending on the number of meals you're planning on doing at other resorts (at times when Disney transportation isn't effective), you may come out ahead paying for a couple of taxi rides versus renting a car for a week.

Great question because I was wondering the same thing for our trip in June.

So if we have ADR's at 8:10 am at Chef Mickey's and 8:40 am at Ohana's do you think we can get there by bus (we are staying ASMo)? Or should we take a cab? One last question - we are having breakfast at Crystal Palace at 8:10 one morning - do you think a bus or a cab is better for that day?

Thanks so much for your help! :)

If you're going to a resort, the cab would be the better option. But since those are both Magic Kingdom resorts, you could take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and go to those resorts from there. Walking to the Contemporary is the best option, and the resort monorail might be the best early-morning option to the Polynesian.

For Crystal Palace, take the bus. I always give myself an hour before ADRs when dealing with Disney transportation. If you don't want to do that, take cabs.

So if I am reading correctly if we decide to take the bus to MK on all three mornings, we should plan to board an hour early? Do the buses run at 7:00 AM to MK? Again thanks for your help.
