getting to Poly from WL

We have dinner ADRs at Kona and were wondering the quickest way to get there from WL. Should we take the boat to MK and then the monorail to Poly, take the boat to CR and then the monorail to Poly, or take the bus to MK and then the monorail to Poly? Thanks.

Quickest way would be to take a taxi. If you want to use Disney transportation, take the bus from WL to Magic Kingdom, then hop on the monorail to Poly.

Boat to either MK or CR and then hop on the monorail to the Poly.

Definitely would suggest the boat to the CR, then grab the monorail. Quick and free.

Or....you could take the boat from WL to the MK and grab the boat to the Polynesian. That's what we do but the other way around. We usually stay at the Poly and take the boat from there to MK and grab the boat to the WL. It's an enjoyable ride!

And....yes, Kona is an awesome place to eat!

I would hop the boat from WL to CR and then take the monorail from there.

We had dinner ressies at Ohana last summer when staying at WL. We took the boat to CR and then monorail to Poly. It was not by any means quick. It took about 40 minutes total because the boat went to FW first before going to CR. If you are in a hurry drive or take a taxi which will take only 5-10 minutes. If not, just allow plenty of travel time.

I am going to suggest what everyone else did:

1. Take a boat to the Contemporary Resort
2. Take the monorail to the Polynesian Resort

I would suggest one thing: be sure to watch where the 2 small boats are going. The reason for this is because one boat will go from WL to FW and than to CR. Another boat will go straight to CR. So just be sure to either ask the boat driver where he is going first and/ or watch where the boats are coming from.

OP - Although the boat is a great way to get to the MK, if you have dinner ADR's and are pressed for time, I wouldn't highly recommend the boat. It onlt takes about 10 minutes, but boats from WL arrive less frequently than buses. Plus, the bus ride to MK is about 5 minutes faster than the boat ride.
