Getting to Poly from Epcot before parks open

We are staying at POR and have an ADR at 'Ohana for 7:50 AM. My family easily gets motion sickness on the buses, so we like to use the monorail as much as possible, even when it takes us longer in transferring. We would like to take the bus from POR to Epcot; monorail to TTC; then walk/monorail to Poly.

However, Epcot opens at 9am and MK opens with EMH at 8am. Will the Epcot monorail line be running at 7am?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the Epcot monorail starts until 8:00.

The bus ride to MK is 10 minutes. The bus ride to Epcot is 8 minutes. Will 2 minutes really make a difference?

Buy some ginger chews to take care of the motion sickness.

That early you will need to drive if you have a car or get a cab/uber.

We took the bus from POR to TTC and then walked on the path (7-10 minute walk at most) from the TTC to the Poly. It is a pretty walk, easy access and less time on the bus.

I haven't seen a bus from a resort to TTC in years. Was this recent that you did this or were there any transportation issues causing the buses to go to TTC?

Resort buses haven't gone to the TTC in a couple of years - now they go straight to MK.

You're right - resort buses have dropped off directly at MK for ages.

The epcot Monorail doesn't start running until 8 which I always though was so stupid, LOL. Specially since Epcot offers Akershus and now Garden Grill for the 8AM ADRs. We usually stay at a monorail resort so getting to Epcot for our pre park opening ADRs was always tricky. Luckily we always have a car so we would just drive there but it really stunk bc we are staying monorail to use the monorail not to have to drive, lol. I always thought they should open the monorails the same time so people getting to early morning ADRs would have an easier time getting there, but oh well...

Thats always what we were told and we even called down the the front desk to confirm that but the next morning when we got to the bus stop we were told another story that buses don't run to Epcot we would need to either drive or take the monorail. This was at CR in 2014 and GF in 2015, and last year when we were at GF I was on a scooter bc I sprained my ankle and couldn't walk to parks so I relied on disney transport. I got to the bus stop at like 6:45AM and waited there until 7:15 when a CM came to work the bus stop...I saw lots of buses come and go but none for Epcot...then the CM told me at 7:15 that they wouldn't have any buses running to Epcot that morning. At that point I was pretty much stranded bc my hubby took the car a head of me bc he can't do buses. Luckily a nice bus driver came and rerouted his route to take me personally to Epcot. I made my ADR by 1 minute to spare. That was a little too close for comfort to me, LOL
