Getting to other resorts from Buena Vista Palace?

Hello all! I'm going to be staying at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in the Downtown Disney area for a business trip in a couple of weeks. After the business portion of my trip my fiance will be coming and we'll be staying at Port Orleans Riverside for a week to enjoy the parks.

My question is, what would be the best way to get to Disney Resort hotels from the Buena Vista? I would like to explore places like the grand floridian etc, in the evenings after the conference that I'm attending. Can I take disney transportation from DTD?

I think the best way is to walk to DTD and take the buses. Shouldn't be a problem.

Ok, so if I go to DTD I can ride one of the Disney buses even though I'm not a resort guest? Or am I considered a resort guest since I'm staying at a hotel that is on Disney property?

Technically it's not allowed, but no one will stop you.

You can also use the bus service from your hotel to get to some resorts. The bus to MK (technically TTC) can be used to get to any of the monorail resorts. The bus to the Disney-MGM Studios can be used to get to any of the EPCOT resorts.
