So I am considering taking the family on a long weekend this Sept or Oct in order to do Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.
I already have a costume theme based on the Haunted Mansion. Three Questions:
1- My costume is inspired by the bride- vintage wedding dress, white hair, painted face, possible white contacts, etc.. Should I worry about being too scary? No blood or anything ...
2- For you who have done it- was it uncomfortable getting on the Disney bus in full costume from your resort to MK? Did you get a lot of funny looks? We love Saratoga but should we consider a monorail resort?
3- Our costumes will have layers so I worry about getting too hot-- would you recommend later in Oct or do you think night time in late Sept would be okay?

. Same week in 2009, we didn't put the kids costumes on until dark, and I stayed in a tshirt and shorts. And same week in 2012, we went as the Rapunzel cast and were still hot, but the massive thunderstorm right at 7:00 kept it bearable. Yes, weather can change day to day, but I'd shoot for later in October if possible. And carry a small fan you can stick up that skirt
. I'm jealous--I've wanted to do that theme ever since Chasing Fireflies had those costumes. Take tons of pics!!!
