With the monorail not running early in the morning due to upgrades, what is the best method for getting to the MK entrance early?

What time do the express buses from TTC to MK entrance start running?

What time do the ferries across SSL start running?

Is one method quicker than the other?

I would take a cab to the DVC Bay Lake Tower (Contemporary) and walk to the entrance. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the entrance turnstiles, depending on where you get dropped off. You can tell the driver you are going to the MK and maybe he/she will drop you off a bit closer.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm mostly interested in knowing when both the ferries and the express buses from TTC to MK entrance start running. WDW's transportation web site is either missing information or too hard to navigate for this bozo.

Where are you staying/coming from?

Staying at CSR. Want to make sure we're at MK entrance as early as possible since they'll let us in early for our 8am BBB reservation. Want to get some empty park pictures, if possible.

From CSR, just take the Disney bus directly to the MK entrance. There's no need to go to the TTC (the resort buses don't stop there anyway). Buses start running to theme parks at about 6:30am.

Are their buses from the ttc to the magic kingdom? Other than resort buses their is no way to make the opening show with the ferries and monarail opening so late. Fall 2014 schedule. Staying off site & parking at ttc

Are you staying offsite or on?

I thought I read somewhere that while the monorail is down there are buses running directly from TTC to MK entrance to make up for the lack of monorail service. Kinda like express, limited time buses.

Actually, I think I may simply call WDW Transportation and speak to them directly.

But why would you be going to TTC? You're onsite and can just catch a bus to MK. Or are you thinking of driving in to TTC?

You asked "what is the best method for getting to the MK entrance early", and people are telling you...just catch a bus from your resort. :)

Sorry, I think I'm not being clear.

The buses start running from resorts to the park 45 minutes before park opening. On a day when the park opens at 9, that means the first bus from the resort will be 8:15.

But we have an 8:00 reservation at BBB, which has instructed us to arrive by 7:45.

Now do you see the issue?

Not quite true on the start time. There are early buses from resorts to theme parks that start at 6:30 to accommodate guests with early ADRs. Those buses don't run as frequently at that time, but they are available to resort guests.

Aha! That's very good to know. Thanks.

A piece of advice: Never do that. Ever. You would not believe the misinformation that phone CMs give out. It's truly astounding.

There is no issue. The buses start running from the resorts to the parks at 6:30. Be out at the MK bus stop at 6:30. You'll be at the MK in plenty of time. There are no buses running to the TTC from non-MK resorts.
