Hi,

Since you guys are the experts, figured I'd ask here. :goodvibes

We are staying at AKV - Kidani and have an 8:10a reservation at Kona Cafe. If we take the bus to MK...what's the best way to then get o Poly from there. :confused3

We've never been to Poly so I'm not even sure where we're going so just trying to do a little advance planning.

Thanks!

Take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, then the monorail to the Poly. Allow yourself enough time for travel.

Word of advice... stayed at Kindani in September for the first time (we are SSR owners and always stay there) the bus is very slow and ride is very long to judge accordingly.

Our first time at Kidani, and I've heard the bus ride to some of the parks is long... so we will plan accordingly. Thanks for the heads up!

But we have a savannah view :goodvibes - so hoping that will make up for some of the bus rides... We are used to long rides though - we live in the "country" so getting anywhere from our house is a ride...so we've been practicing all our life for this. :rotfl:

I would suggest the evening before go to the Front Desk and ask to speak with the Transportation Coordinator. You may find yourself with your own bus.

Taking the bus to MK and then the monorail to Poly is really not a good idea. You have the long walk from the bus station to the monorail platform, and then the Poly is the 3rd stop.

If you cannot arrange for a direct bus really the best way would be to take a taxi.

We did the exact same thing last year. We asked at the front desk at AKV about bus service to Poly. The regular park busses did not run early enough to get to our Kona reservation for 7:45 AM. However, Disney has "special" busses running starting very early. They are the same busses used for park transportation. The front desk can tell you the time they start and how they are marked. At that time of day, the trip was very quick. Almost as quick as a taxi. The bus is supposed to take you to TTC and then you take the monorail to Poly. However, the bus driver took as right to the Poly after he dropped some people at MK for the Crystal Palace breakfast. Don't know if the monorails were running yet, but either way that was very nice of him to do. Get the macadamia nut pancakes. YUM!!! Tonga Toast very good too. After breakfast, we just got on the monorail to MK and were in time to see, what I believe, the best park opening ceremony in the World. Good luck!!!

We took a taxi. The busses in the morning were pretty awful for breakfast reservations. I love Kidani very much... but with a taxi or a rental car.

We were just at Kidani last week and took the bus to MK then the monorail to the poly and it took about an hour total including the walking and waiting.
