My roommate just started dated someone she went to HS with (years later) and he and his buddies were all meeting at a bar for Monday night football. They were all big into fantasy leagues. We walked into this house and all I see is some chick on the couch and a rear end sticking out from behind the fridge. He popped up and it was love at first sight. Too bad it was his date on the couch. We went to the bar and I sat across from him. We talked the whole night, the date was virtually ignored. We realized we grew up in the same town and went to the same grammer school. He was 2 years older and I never knew him. He was in my brothers class. Unfortunately he had to take his date home and we moved onto the next bar. We got together the next weekend and have been together ever since. Together 10 years, married on my 30th birthday, just had my 6 year anniversary 2 weeks ago.

I met my DH on a blind date. Our first date was in Oct. We married the following Oct. We just celebrated our 23rd anniversary.

We met in junior high band--I was in 7th and he was in 6th. We didn't date til my senior year of high school though we were good friends. Dated 5 years before marrying so 33 years of marriage and 10 years before is 43 years together.

I keep teasing DH that he picked me up in an elementary school! Right out of college I got a job as a special ed teaching assistant. The school had a great relationship with the fire department and they had a month long fire safety program (very small town) where the firefighters would come to each classroom a couple of times a week to discuss safety. Well, all of the other teachers thought it would be a good idea to set me up with "Firefighter Bill". So basically, he asked me out with a bunch of 5 year olds doing "Stop, Drop, and Roll" around our feet! We dated for 3 years before getting married and just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.

Wow! These are some cool stories!

I lived in Florida. DH in Texas. We are an E-harmony success story. We were matched in August 2002 and met face-to-face in October '02 at the Dallas Billy Graham event. We got engaged that weekend (he had a ring waiting for me!) The Florida werding was in March '03. The Texas wedding was April '03.
And we've living happily ever after!
