Well, a good italian hoagie -- does that count?

it better!!!! Hard salami, capicola, ham, provolone cheese, a little oil and oregano, tomatoes. OMG guess I know what I'm getting at the grocery today! LOL

I was standing in line at the meat counter a few years ago and when I got to the capicola part the lady behind me was like you must be from Jersey. I was like yep! I needed my hoagie fix!

I don't eat lunch meat. There is just something about cold, slimy meat that I just can't stomach. I get all skeeved out when I make sandwiches for DH or DS.

This is me, too! When I was growing up, we only had Miracle Whip in the house. I didn't know that mayo was something different! When DH and I got married, he kept asking for mayo, and I'd bring out the Miracle Whip. Somehow, I couldn't get him convinced it was the "same thing"!

Here too. I didn't know there was a difference until I got married. My DH will use real Mayo. He won't eat a sandwich with Miracle Whip. So now I have to buy the Mayo.

you need to add mortadella to it! that is dh's favorite all time sandwich. just no tomatoes for him!!!!!!

and dh is the one who does not do miracle whip. he likes his real hellman's mayo. me too i guess. i'm not a big fan of miracle whip, but i'll eat it. he won't even eat it.

I like chicken salad, tuna salad, or turkey&ham with swiss. No mayo. I hate mayo. I do however like Miracle Whip.

I'm the opposite - my mom always bought Hellman's Real Mayo (known as Best Foods out west). In college I was making sandwiches with a friend and asked for mayo and she pulled out Miracle Whip - I'd never heard of it! I didn't like it much either. DH won't eat mayo or Miracle Whip so I get what I like - Hellman's Light Mayo - Yum!!

Technically Miracle Whip is "dressing". No idea what the difference is between dressing and mayo. Me, I love Hellman's and that's all I use. DH loves MW and won't use mayo. So I buy both, no big deal. Now when I make chix salad or potato salad I use mayo. Dh then adds a little MW to his.

Ah, the hogie. A perfect are form that can only be replecated in the Philly, NJ area. I think I may need to get one today or tomorrow for lunch. Subway definately does not count. Yes a hogie in its purest form is heaven. No one would understand if you have never tried one from our area.

[including more than 20 different spices] is the difference. Miracle Whip has the spices, Mayo doesn't.

I'm so glad to see there are more of us "Miracle Whippers" out there! I will eat Hellman's mayo in potato salad or chicken salad. . .it tastes a little more "right" that way!

I'm not a big lunch meat person anymore. Used to love hoagies growing up, but can't find a decent one anymore. Subway is NOT a hoagie.

I do prefer Chicken or Tuna salad over sliced meat.

I can get a real hoagie...I guess FEDEX overnight wouldn't be fast enough.

I grew up with Hellman's too. Miracle whip taste too sweet to me.

In general, I hate lunch meat. I would never voluntarily choose to eat it - only when there are no other options.

I love salami, summer sausage and Italian roast beef. I usually eat oven roasted chicken and roast turkey. MMmmmmmm!
